Movie Review ~~ Fantastic 4 - Rise of the Silver Surfer

Well, we have finally seen the new Fantastic 4 movie.  My oldest son, Scottie, loves super heroes!  What 8-year-old doesn't like super heroes? 

I was fairly impressed with the new movie.  I was a little worried at the start.  I wasn't fond of the "Fantastic 4" being turned into celebrities.  I don't want my kids thinking that they are living their lives in the interest of fame.  If you've watched the movie though, you know that the focus doesn't dwell long on their celebrity status.  They are soon drawn in to a massive effort to save the planet Earth from impending doom at the hands of the Silver Surfer. 

I love the ingenuity, creativity, and bravery that the "Fantastic 4" show throughout both of their movies now.  This second installment shows them rebuilding the team when celebrity status gets in the way.  It demonstrates the value of good friendships. 

What tickled me the most is that this movie was left completely open to a third installment of the "Fantastic 4".  I can't wait, and neither can Scottie!
