Let me introduce myself and my children. My furry children that is.
My Darling Husband and I are the proud parents of a 7 yr old Chow/St. Bernard mixed breed, a 2 year old "ditch dog" rescue, four cats, including two twin mixed Siamese and some fish....
So we really didn't NEED to add another dog to our home. But we did. Boy did we.
My mother's full-blooded Shih Tzu managed to sneak around her mommy and meet up with this bad boy Min Pin in the neighborhood and wham!bam!youbetitma'am! there were pups on the way. They were the cutest things, but again, we didn't need a dog. We had TWO that weighed 60 pounds each, and neither my husband or myself have ever been "little dog" people.
But this little beast stole my heart the very first time I picked her up and she snuggled herself under my hair. I had to have her. I claimed her and then prayed Darling Husband would say OK. And he did, and Daisy joined our household.
Now, Daisy was 8 weeks when I brought her home. She's been through round two of her puppy shots and de-worming. She's been weaned. She's eating good, solid food and has established herself as future Tyrant in the making in our household.
At least, she thinks so. She doesn't know she's only 4 pounds. She has the stance, attitude and bark of a BEAST. A big, 100 pound, HUGE BEAST. Just ask her.
Yet she is the sweetest, most loving little thing. I absolutely adore her, and my space here, will most likely become HER space.
I've attached photos so you can all fall in love with her too. And my boys. Can't forget my boys (Brownie and Angel are their names, BTW).
Daisy started puppy kindergarten two weeks ago, and is going through clicker training, which I am beginning to think is the greatest training too in the world. Not only has she started responding very well to the clicker, the two year old has figured it out, too! (If I could get Brownie to mind, I'd be the happiest woman on earth - he will always have a mind of his own!)
Potty training, however, is still an issue. I swear if she has peed IN the house once, she's done it a thousand times. I'm beginning to think she doesn't know the difference between grass and carpet and therefore thinks it is OK. Nothing we do is working so far. I know she's only 10 weeks and we have a long way to go, but I swear if Dear Hubby looks at me one more time and says "your dog peed in the floor again" I'm going to launch them both.

Have you tried taking her out more frequently than really needed? Like every 30 minutes. Just so she establishes a routine that she goes out, pees, comes back in and gets a treat or play time or something....
I'm having trouble intragrating after A YEAR my little boy cat - Harry Carey with my other big, but older boy - Bear. Will neutering this cat help the situation? Every time I've tried to get this little fella fixed - he either escapes out the door the day before we go to the Vet or the Vet has an Emergeny case. I know, it sounds strange to me too. The truth sometimes is stranger than fiction.
