I found this web site while looking up spectactular Venus, which I saw at 5 am this morning while up with ym sick dog. 

 

This program is free and works wonderfully! It is really amazing! It is for any age and so easy to use...after down loading it and starting it on your computer there is a control panel on the bottom right and left... just click through the buttons..it is all self explanatory and has a help button. AND it has a search button that lets you type in anything in the sky...planets, stars, constellations, etc..then zooms right to it! You can also set your location to where YOU live!!

mandi - I have clicked on it and will let you know in a bit after I install it.

About 10 years ago, we looked at Jupiter and Saturn and the Moon through our telescope and invited the whole neighborhood. It was very cool

To see satellite images of the earth itself I've used Google Earth, Zillow and the NASA websites. NASA requires a download, but neither Google Earth or Zillow do. Just FYI. Thanks for the link Mandi.

It was just too cool for me to pass up, but my computer blocked it because it was trying to download spyware onto my computer. I would be careful with this.

arlene, I have very expensive spy and virus protection..it did a scan of it and turned up nothing... and I have had no problem at all since the download...not sure what happened with your download...perhaps there was something else that gave you the spyware?
