I was listening to one of my favorite talk show hosts this morning when I nearly coughed up blood. I couldn't believe what I heard. He talked about his problem with alcoholism and that it runs in his family. That's sad. Then, he went on to say his under aged daughter has started drinking and needs aspirin for her hangovers to go to school, but the school has a strict no drug policy so what is he to do? Now, he says that he gives her the alcohol so she drinks at home and not with her friends or when driving. How does he know that?
That's when I coughed up blood. (not really) I will never listen to a man who is giving his alcoholic daughter who is under aged drink. The man is an idiot and should be institutionalized. What do you think?
No more Glenn Beck for me.

I find it hard to believe he encourages her to drink period.
As for Rush, he was addicted to prescription painkillers. That's a whole 'nother animal. He's clean, now, and has been for nearly 2 years.
oh man what a jerk to open mouth in public....
Maybe he needs a drinking buddy???
I hope someone turns him in. I hope CPS is listening.
I am sure the school is not totally unaware of this, why aren't they doing something?
As for Rush, anyone can become addicted to prescription drugs? I believe in giving someone another chance.
The things (people) they put on the radio/television these days - we're supposed to take anything seriously anymore?
No, I didn't catch the very beginning of the show, just from 9:05 to 9:20. At first, I thought he was being sarcastic. The things he was saying, about giving his daughter alcohol, and other things even worse, I could barely believe. I kept waiting for the punchline ... "No, I'm just kidding!" It never came. Then he started getting callers who AGREED with him! "I've got sons at home, age 17, and we give them alcohol if they want it."
I would like to believe he was just being sarcastic, but he went too far, if that's the case. It was almost like a "War of the Worlds" scenario, where the joke is taken so far that people actually believe it. I hope, this time, it was a joke. :/
Thanks for your article. I purposely searched the net tonight hoping to find this very thread, so I could vent.
Actually ... this week he is totally serious. Check this out; it's from today's show.
Take the time to put whatever bit you might hear into context.

He is a right-wing blowhard who talks endlessly about stuff he doesn’t have a clue about. A web search on him will yield endless idiotic rants where he is precisely wrong (his penultimate latest was claiming that people who hate America — meaning progressives — were getting their houses burnt in California. That dope doesn’t even know how conservative San Diego county is, let alone understand just how truly offensive such a statement is on its own merits).

Glenn Beck says, "President Obama, I think he is a racist", now that's how you play a race card, 'bam!'. And people listen to this sh#t.
So our President is a socialist, a communist, a facist and he only been in office for a little over 8 months, those that voted aganist our young President should be cowering in abject fear, three more years and four months to go, Booo!!!! The Dark Side is ridiculious.
