This is why I don't insult people

I just had a quick thought and again, it follows my philosophy, common sense. The reason why I do not insult people is because of this one, very deep thought: what if it is the last thing I am able to say to them? Wouldn't that be awful? I mean think if I just broke up with a girl, told her I hate her, and find out she passed away in a fatal car crash the next day. I sure as hell do not want to live with hurt like that for the rest of my life. I do not, just for the record, hate anyone or anything. When I express dislike, I say I dislike this person or I dislike this thing. I think we should all be thoughtful with our words and think. I am refusing to live with hurt by hurting others with my words. I hope you like my message and are able to do the same.

That's a good reason not to insult people. I just don't like to hurt people. I do enough of that without even trying. Open mouth, insert foot.

This is a good philosophy to live by. Too many people are haunted by regret because they lashed out in anger and the recipient of the harsh words died before the words could be retracted.
