Anyone see the interview with Larry King last night? It was a howl. Donald Trump has go to be the most arrogant individual I have ever heard speak. His interview with Larry King ran the gamut of his opinions on people such as Angelina Jolie, George Clooney, Joy Behar, Meredith Viera, and Barbara Walters from the View, Whoopi Goldberg, George Bush, Jenna Bush, Saddam Hussein, Hillary Clinton, Rudy Giuliani, Mitt Romney, Britney Spears, Paul McCartney and, of course, Rosie O'Donnell.
So what did he have to say about these people? Well here are some of the highlights. I found it entertaining to hear the opinions of someone who expresses what he thinks with such conviction, mostly with no back up evidence as to why, and whether true or not.
On Angelina Jolie: A nice looking woman but not a beauty, and when asked if it were his opinion, he flipped it off as fact. He knows what real beauty is since he owns Miss Universe and Miss USA. He expounded more on her by saying that he saw her French kiss her brother on TV.
On George Clooney: George is a "handsome guy" and a "nice guy." Doesn't know him well though.
On Joy Behar: Thinks she's talentless.
On Meredith Viera: Thinks she's "terrific," but didn't say why he thinks so.
On Barbara Walters: "A terrific woman," but didn't say why he thinks so.
On Whoopi Goldberg: He likes Whoopi, probably because he was in one or two of her movies playing himself but he couldn't exactly remember if he was in one or in two.
On George Bush: Hates him for the unnecessary war and blames him that now that Saddam is gone there's no one to kill the terrorists. Also blames him competely for American soldiers' maimed, though Trump says he's very hawkish himself.
On Jenna Bush: Used descriptives such as "beautiful" and "lovely."
On Saddam Hussein: Practically views him as a hero since he says Saddam killed terrorists.
On Hillary Clinton: Thinks she's "terrific" and claims to know her well. Didn't say why he thinks she's so great.
On Rudy Giuliani: Thinks he's "terrific" and claims to know him well. Didn't say why he thinks he's so great.
On Mitt Romney: Thinks he's "terrific" but doesn't know him that well. Didn't say why he thinks so.
On Britney Spears: She's a good girl turned bad but didn't have an explanation as to why.
On Paul McCartney: Yet another "terrific" accolade, though somewhat tainted since he also thinks of him as a "schmuck" for marrying without a pre-nup.
On Rosie O'Donnell: No terrifics here! Instead we have such phrases peppered through the dialogue from Trump such as, "a total degenerate, a pig, a vicious person, not a very bright person, and a bad person." He said she "ate like a pig at my wedding," and I'm still laughing at his comment about the wedding cake, about which he said that because of her food consumption was "missing in action."
In a nutshell these are his opinions, though to Donald they are facts. Is he a Gather member yet? Someone should send him an invitation. We could fit him into a group here immediately.
So you probably want to know what I think since the last time I wrote an article without giving my opinion I was reprimanded severely. Personally, I don't care, but I did find Donald's opinions very entertaining.
I don't like most of the people that he mentioned except for Paul McCartney and it's really his music that I like, because I certainly don't know him. I don't care for any of the View women, past or present, since I think the show is nothing more than a gossip clatch and anyone that would do such a show isn't someone for whom I would have much respect.
I also don't think Angelina Jolie is any great beauty, but I do think she is a very good person for all the humanitarian work she does and I like her for that. I think George Clooney is great looking, but I don't know enough about him to say anymore than that. Never much cared for Whoopi Goldberg because she has a bit too liberal a bent for me. Of the political figures he mentioned, if I had to put them in order of preference from best liked to least, the order would be Romney, Bush, Guiliani, Hussein, and Clinton.
So how many of Donald's opinions do you agree with?

LOL!! I didn't know you were such a fan of Clinton's!!!
I agree with him about Britney. That girl needs some serious help. And I don't mean the ritzy "rehab" these celebs go to every time they get in trouble!
So you read the book, Berf? I might take a quick trip to Barnes and Noble and scan it over the week-end for a hoot. I'd certainly not buy it.
Yeah, Marsha. It was a toss up actually.
CA, I guess my writing still needs a lot of work to convey what I want to the reader. The article was far more written to cast a shadow on "The Donald" than to even impy that anyone should care what he thinks. Anyone who expresses their affinity for several individuals with the same word over and over conveys to me an insipid persona and a severe lack of depth.
Sounds like Mickey gets it. I agree, Mickey, but too bad Larry is such a wimp when it comes to asking the tough questions because he likes to be invited to ALL the parties.
His, shall we say "Strong Opinions" make him excellent Gather material, lol.
I have no intentions of getting or reading his book. I haven't even gotten to look at Anne Coulters, and I believe I'd find hers to be more of an interesting read.
I actually like the Donald now. Saw him in the City last year and found him sooo different from the TV/on screen persona. He was human and very likeable. I came to the conclusion that the glamour and glitter must be for the cameras, but when in person, he really lets his hair down (now please don't laugh.)
His comments about at least one of those characters up there was quite stronger, bordering on sheer hatred.
I can say this much for the Donald. I saw him in March 2006. He gave details back then that match this economy so well that anyone who listened to him then and followed his advice/warnings could not possibly be in trouble -- for that I that my hat off.
Now he did say quite honestly what we don't do, he would take advantage of, as well as some other "interesting" tidbits. If you've never seen him speak I'd recommend him. Before this I wasn't too crazy about him myself.
I don't for a second doubt that he wouldn't give excellent financial advice. I'd rather read a book he writes on that topic than see him speak about it though. I doubt I will ever take the time to see him in person. There are too many other people, places, and things that take priority. When you're past middle age there isn't as much time to waste if you want to get it all in!
I don't watch tv much anymore.
