Yesterday was the 12th Annual Bikers For Babies Ride in St. Louis. Over 7,000 motorcycles were in attendance, over $300,000 was raised, the sun shone and Fall held off one more day to give us perfect riding weather.
My club, the Shadow Riders picked up honors as the Top Club in St. Louis for contributions with over $33,000. Of the top five contributors, four of them were Shadow Riders. The top individual contributor was a Shadow Rider. This means that our club will lead the ride NEXT year.
This year we reaped the benefit of having this honor from last year. This is the second year in a row the Shadow Riders are the top club in the area. Of the last eight years, we've been in the top slot six times. The other two years we were a close number two.

The Prez shows his Pride.

A sea of bikes -- over 7,000 motorcycles.

The guy who owns this calls this bike a "Rat Bike." I think it's a rolling lyric sheet for Johnny Cash's song "I've Been Everywhere."

The Shadow Riders booth. We signed up a lot of new members.

OK, so it wasn't all work. Mel with his hands full of a couple of dancers from Harrah's Casino. He looks really depressed.
