Intro for the new groups I joined.

Hello! My name is Dena. I am a 29 year old single divorced mother four children currently living in michigan.  I left my ex husband because of domestic violence. My kids and I left pretty much everything behind so we could get out of the situation. So we are all starting over again. It has been a long road but were slowly building our lives back. Currently were working with habitat for humanity and they are helping us to build our family a home. My kids and I are excited! Construction on our home began last week.

Like I said I have four kids. My oldest is a 13 yr old girl. Then I have a 10 yr old boy, 8 yr old girl and a 4 yr old boy. I just found out recently I am pregnant again. Being pregnant again left me with mixed emotions. My second child Jasmine died when she was three months old. She died of SIDS. She would be 12 now. Then I had another child .. that would be a year old now.... however he was born when I was only five months pregnant and he did not survive. So this new of being pregnant is bitter sweet. I am scared to death of losing this child too. I don't think me or my other kids could handle anymore loss.

I am excited though at the same time. My kids and I will finally have a home of our own. We will no longer be at the mercy of the landlords we rent from .. often we refer to them as 'slumlords'. We will have a permant, nice, home for my kids to grow up in. A home where they will always be and feel welcome and safe. Don't anyone get it mixed up they are not 'giving' us a home. We do have to pay for it. They are just helping us build it and holding our mortgage. so thats just a little info about me ... any questions .. comments .. let me know!
