Hi friends,
The Girls Night Out group was nice enough to select me as hostess to one of their Girls Night In chats, and I wanted to discuss something that is important to all of us, regardless of size or weight -- body image.
This chat will take place on Wednesday, October 17, at 7:00 p.m. CST. (I believe that's 8:00 for those of you on the east coast and 5:00 pacific.)
All you need to do to join in is to return to this article at that time and keep an eye on the comments. Keep refreshing, as they will keep rolling in, and add your own!
I hope to see you here :)

What does it mean to have a positive body image?
Why is it important to have one?
It is important to have one for your self esteem, self worth and self acceptance.
Just look around at all the magazines and such, if you are overweight you are gross and disgusting etc etc...
You are very beautiful too!!
Its funny cause I dont look at others weight when I love them, but can't understand how they can love me while I am overweight...LOL hence I am WAY too hard on myself.
You should really watch the ppt when you have time, it's great...
Thanks for all your support.
Good night
How do we improve the whole body image issue when there is so much (i.e. magazines, music videos) working against us?
