I have been anticipating watching this show since Amy Finley won this years Next Food Network Star. Today was the debut episode and I found it a delight to watch. The first episode was called Nod to the Bistro . Everything looked delicious. I may have to try some of these reicpes. Amy did a wonderful job and was a natural. She looked very comfortable in front of the camera and handled herself like a profesional.
I loved the way she whacked those potatoes for Cracked Potatoes. Her appetizer was Gougeres (cheese laced puffs) and looked delicious. She used the same dough, Pate a choux, to make her dessert and the Gougeres. Dessert was Profiteroles with Vanilla Ice Cream and Chocolate Sauce and Grilled Flank Steak with Shallot and Red Wine Sauce was her entree. I'm already looking forward to next weeks show. Next weeks show is called Sophisticated Sweets for Your Sweetie.
