Have you applied for a reality TV show?

C'mon, admit it... you've sat down in front of your parents' borrowed, dinosaur of a VHS camera and made the 4 minute video...

You were clever, you were witty... maybe you even made up a skit.

What did you apply for?  What did you do for your video?

Did you get a call back and/or, how far did you get?

I've applied for the Amazing Race with my sister.  We just sat and talked.  And I've also applied for Survivor.  I might apply again sometime, try something more creative.

I never have! My dad was a child actor and was very against my sister or me getting involved in the acting/modeling industry at all. It's pretty tough and there is a huge dark side. I love hearing his stories, but some are awful. I never really had a big desire to be in front of a camera.
I did, however, want to get into costuming...but even that wasn't encouraged!!!

Wow - what an interesting background, Emma! I've really thought about getting my girls into modeling/acting. Waiting until they are a little older, so that they will remember the experience, and so that they can decide if they enjoy it!!

I haven't, but I wish my husband would go on survivor. However, I think he would be the first to go, because he's a huge outdoor enthusiast, he has been self-employeed all of his adult life and can't take an order or pass up an opertunity to give one, he speaks his mind without fear of how it will be taken (in fact he could care less how it's taken),and he's athletic. He'd either be sent home on the first day, or as soon as the tribe challanges were over.

I did for the second or third season of Big Brother. The video was a mix of all of the hobies that I was into at the time. I got a call back and went through the whole nine yards and was cut when I didn't pass the psyche part. Apparently they didn't like the idea of someone being on meds for depression.....Makes you wonder with the people that they do choose!
I like to think I have a bit more dignity than that.

I applied for Survivor in 2004 and didn't get in. My belief is that everything in the universe unfolds in it's own time and for a reason. I went on a week long backpacking trip in the wind river mountains in the fall of 2005. That cured me of the desire to be cold, exhausted, and camp. My family and I used to enjoy camping...now my idea of roughing it is a motel without a swimming pool and hot tub! I have a lot of leadership experience and thought being on Survivor would be a good challenge-and the money was a lure. I didn't get in, and I'm thankful.

No, I haven't. About the only show I'd even consider is the Amazing Race simply because of all the places they get to go and the thrill of competition. Of course my fear of heights would and will keep me from ever applying for it.

I have never applied but have thought about it. I would never be picked so I don't bother. I just enjoy watching them instead.

Nope - I never have - I thought about the Real World - the very 1st season way back in the late 80's but after watching it I was glad that I hadn't.

I'm too private of a person to share my entire life with anybody like that -
Now - if we are talking game shows - I always wanted to go on Family Feud!!! :O)~

Most of the people from last years Survivor already had "Ins". This is they were contacted by the recruiters to be in the show, or knew someone who was involved in casting. The rest got picked up off of MySpace. Very few come from mail in videos.
