Personal Freedom...

I agree with most of it. However, many will read this and choose not to reply, fearing they might offend you. I have no intention of offending, but I will make some comments.

I don't happen to share your view about the god you mention, that he exists, that he loves, that he loves everyone, that his whole story is beyond question.... that everything you choose to read is OUR truth, everything I am asked to read is my truth.

As sincere as you, and other 'believers' are, you presume, perhaps innocently, that your set of doctrines is everyone's; a common mistake with those who follow, unquestioning, the doctrines of another age when people had different views about punishment, the status and value of women, mental health, over the ages perpetuated by a chain of self-appointed heirarchies, mainly man, who determine and select what you read in one particular large book.

Your own studies of MANY OTHER religions and philosophies might just allow some light into your thinking; it might also prove to you that we know little and will never know everything.

We don't have to follow the doctrines and rituals of organisations with buildings, paraphenalia and good intentions in order to have spiritual values.

That is my Personal Freedom; it's personal and unshackled.

Actually I did not assume anyone else had this belief.

I was sharing, I fully realize that all of us must travel our faith route alone...

I have not asked anything of you, and I did not mention an organized church etc...

The only organization I mentioned is God and I shared my understanding of it...

I shared what is for me a fundamental truth, that even people who are not Christian but have a belief in a Creator or a Supreme organizing intelligence...

becouse the idea of being a child of the creator works for me as well...

I simply feel finding out/discovering/understanding who we are fundamentally, gives us the tools to do fully what we can with who/what we are....

PSS: I never follow unquestioning things I am told... Even from church leaders, I always check with the Heavenly Father.

This is very nice, in fact it mirrors what I was heard on TV a few minutes ago before getting on the computer.

I find it hard to understand why people feel they must attack someone else's beliefs. What do they have to gain by convincing you that you are wrong? BUT if THEY are wrong... they'll have eternity to contemplate what they've lost.

One day the unbelivers will answer and the gates won't be pearly.
I like it very much.and remember prayers are always answered.
