KNOWING THE FUNGUS AMOUNG US
Have you ever wondered why we have so many more diseases than our Grandparents did? Even though we have modern medicine it is inconceivable to think that there just might be reasons why we are kept in the dark about fungi. I'm writing this article to hopfully wake a few people up to the possibity they might just have to take their own health by the horns and research to keep their families healthy.

Wood mold in rafters cause the toxic mold to be vented into the house and thus you breath the spores.

When you have mold spores growing in both the flooring and rafters you are inundated by thousands of spores that DO invade your body.
These mycotoxins cause all kinds of damage to the cells in your lungs and the rest of your body. Although unseen for the most part, if you have unaccountable dust, chances are if you live in a place that is moist most of the time, it is mold spores settling. The spore are are ingested and then enter the body through the skin, mucous and airways. Once they are ingested they colonize due to the optimal conditions, warmth of the body and then spread. In doing this the myotoxins compromise the immune system and can damage every process of the body.

You can buy these test kits at any Lowes. You send it to a lab and they will tell you what the count is.
These Myotoxins are the same as mold used in biological warfare and are attributed to causing ashma like symptoms among a host of others.
Fungi, which includes molds, yeasts, smuts (plant molds)
and mushrooms cause four types of mycotic (fungal disease) ("The T-2 mycotoxins found in many of these molds are the exact same T-2 mycotoxins that have killed widespread groups of innocent people with Yellow Rain, a biological warfare agent"), says Susan Lillard-Roberts in her article Mold Toxict.

One of the reasons I am publishing this article is I have suffered through MANY of these and still suffer to no avail AND HOPE TO wAKE PEOPLE UP TO SOME VERY SERIOUS HEALTH ISSUES THAT EFFECT OUR CHILDREN GREATLY AND OUR ELDERERS, AS THESE HAVE THE LOWEST IMMUNE RESPONSE.

THESE ARE THE QUESTIONS I HAVE as every doctor I have talked with so far has acted as if mold toxicity is not even a probability.
My cat is suffering from the effects too; as Her breathing at times is labored and she has had bad dander and bad breath. She has also become moody and doing weird stuff out of her character. Her vet said things would get better when we move and she was given a shot (Histamine) to help, but there is testing I CAN'T AFFORD.
The other side to Mold toxicity is IT DOES NOT effect EVERYBODY. There are people who can live among it and it does not bother them a bit. Mold toxicity hits people who are in a lowered state of immunity, children, and seniors any one already STRESSED OUT.

This CONCROBRUM, is supposedly safe, but I have the taste of salt water in my mouth when the humidity factor jumps here in MI. I also get a numbness that comes and goes on my tongue so that cannot be good along with other symptoms. I just thank God my grandchildren no longer have to live under this duress.

I assume if you catch the mold early this stuff should work, but if it is in the rafters, chances are; it has moved down into the walls where you cannot see it without tearing a wall apart. Do not be fooled by surface cleaning. My suggestion is get a professional.
Remember too, do not take the mold with you, when in doubt, Throw Organics Out!

I have heard this for years. It's creepy. I also have found what seems like tons of Palmetto bug poo in the attic. Adding to the gross receipe.

We have so many more diseases than our ancestor did, because we are living longer and have advanced enough to be aware of cause for illness and death of which our ancestors were not aware. The fact that our ancestor were not aware of microscopic and near microscopic fungi and other lifeforms does not mean they are something new to this planet.
That aside, your attempt to make more people aware of such threats is admirable.
Thanks for dropping by to comment Carol. If we are aware of the illnesses caused by mold; then why has there been little done to help those suffering from moldtoxicity. It has been my personal experience that all the doctors I went to, and believe me there is a long list; ALL gave me bandges to cover up the illnesses caused by MOLDTOXICITY, ie, drugs.
Most of these drugs made the toxicity worse and then more drugs were added for those worsening side effects and almost killed me.
And speaking about our ancestors; I believe the bible mentions the mold and how they burned the houses down when the priests couldn't erradicate the stuff.
I wonder how all the slumlords get by under the wire? We have moved into an era where the $$$ out weighs the cost of human life. The cost to our medical system is far out weighing the cost to do the right thing, ya think?
Thank God I finally found a Dr. who cares about the poor and knows what he is doing. HE is finally detoxifing me, giving me a life, and yet I STILL have to fight the insurance company to get what I need to stay alive, because they want me to still be a guiene pig to DRUGS that DON'T work.
I'm sorry if my comment sounds a little tuff, but I am a fighter of what is right and Lord only knows how many poor souls are out there and have given up the fight, only to live and die a horrorable, debilitating death.
The wife and I both suffer from a lot of the symptoms mentioned above. I'd love to tear this place totally apart from the inside out, and have it treated. But with three other units hooked to me, it'd do no good.

Due to your symptoms, I highly recommend you seek out a doc. who specializes in environmental hazards. We, who can't afford the cost or who DON'T have the all mighty $ to demand doctors treat the MOLD TOXICITY; NEED to band together and DEMAND DOCTORS TREAT US instead of the symptoms, which will lead to the ultimate diseases and DEATH from this BIO hazard.
I hate to imply the drug companies make far more money as due the doctors by ONLY TREATING the SYMPTOMS; BUT, after telling several doctors about the mold articles I had read, and asking if this could be the problem? I soon learned those doctors were NOT interested in helping the poor.
At least the ones, I HAD to see.
We as CHRISTIANS, need to take a hard look at the back grounds of these doctors and realize what days we are living in. We need to understand the spiritual warring going on, realize we DON'T have to turn the other cheek and start banding together for the betterment of ALL our brothers and sisters, be they Christian or not, who are drop kicked to the sidelines in the HEALTHCARE SYSTEM.
In Biblical days, the priests, DID BURN the places down that were found to have MOLD; as they understood the HEALTH HAZARDS back then.
We live in the information age and there is NO excuse for ANY DOCTOR to be unaware of how toxic MOLD can be to someone with health issues. The biggest question is ARE MATERIAL GOODS WORTH a LIFE??
I have chosen to sell most of what I own to find a place where there is NO MOLD COUNT higher than 4 colonies as my Dr. has said I should do and I am investing in an air purifier that will take out 99.9% of the mold spores in ANY PLACE I HAVE to live. The bare minimum, we who have to live, in sub-acceptable houses/apt.s is to;
#1 Ask your Landlord if you can place a petri- dish found in the mold kit, which I got at Lowes, to see if there is any mold growth. If they say no, well that is a pretty good indication you need to find another place to live. There are probably other places you can buy the kits, but Lowes has been the place where I have always found them when I needed to buy one.
#2 Set a Petri dish in all the rooms you want to test and allow the air conditioning or heater to run and walk about the area for an hour as the settling method gives a pretty good reading. Seal the petri dish and watch it for about three days. If there are mold spores they will show up by then. For me ANY MOLD IS unhealthy. If there is mold find another place to rent or use an air purification system if you HAVE to live there. Most humid areas will have mold, but it is the COUNT in your living area you are concerned with.
I know the petri dishes are about $8.00- 10.00 a piece and $30.00 to have them read, but if you want to weigh what your health and your children’s health is worth, they are well worth the investment. You don’t have to send the kit in to find out what the different kinds of molds are, which can save you the money there, but count of the colonies that have popped up and then make your decision.

My wife lost her job of real close to 20 years, during a "restructuring". But that's a whole article/rant all in itself. So, I'm at the point, where I will have to file for food stamps and anything else I can get, to help meet the utility bills. ACK... anyway... she has no insurance at all. I need to talk with the attorney that assisted me on my SSDI claim. I think he mentioned trying to get me full disability through the VA, also. Haven't followed up on that yet, but I've very little faith in the VA system, after seeing all the hoops, loss of paperwork by the VA and several years of figting with them. Not sure I have that in me. But, that's the only way I'll be able to insure the wife, also.
Anyway... I agree with everything you said, above. I think that maybe using all the info systems we have, Twitter, etc., is a good way to start making people aware. If I knew of a good website, I could possibly make some Youtube videos, plus some wmv.slideshows ( with voice) using your information, etc. This winter, I should have more time to stay inside and get caught up.... if I can retain my internet payments that long. I may have to suddenly go to dial-up, as much as that thought sucks.
The more we get the word out, the more people may find it, and find help. You've written a very informative article and I'm going see about finding more on Mold Toxicity and the Sx.
As I was looking through your list, above, Would you believe I stopped counting my own Sx after reaching 18. Egad.
Mind you, I have no fear of dying anymore. Since I became Born Again, my faith is about as strong as it can get. I love my Jesus, more than anything in our world. So, along with prayer... let's get as many folks praying as we can.... and further research, I believe between just the two of us, we can start the info to flying about the net.
