Israeli airstrike in Syria

I am less worried about this then I am about the Kurdish part of Iraq and Turkey... esp with the idiots in Congress sturring up trouble not to help any Armenians but becouse the dems know Turkey is important to Bush's policy in Iraq....

Yes, MET, the poking of Turkey's eyes over stuff last century seems highly childish. It might be like continuing to hold Japan responsible for atrocities committed against Chinese... Well, bad example, continuing to hold the Italians responsible for all of the violence in Sudan. The Iranians might have justification for hating us because we disrupted their cozy relationship with Saddam's former regime. If The Kurds from Turkey get together with the Kurds from Iraq, and Iran, they might hope that they could declare independence.

Apparently, I was reading, and Turkey has already shelled some small Kurdish village in Iraq with 7 or 8 shells.

This article was so hushed about the attack though, since , it was Israel I am surprised that more wasn't made of this.

The deal is: nukes are being built all around Israel. that has been a goal for decades.

No, Israel doesn't want conflict. Iran wants to wipe Israel from the map. Iran and Syria are allies. Since Syria has been on a heightened state of readiness for awhile, (see http://www.debka.com/ for more info) stuff could hit the fan at any time. It's a weird world we live in. We probably don't need to get involved in more conflicts, but there are factors beyond our control. This world requires that multiple people want to cooperate.

Russia wasn't particularly fond of our efforts to add oil reserves to the world total.

I suppose it could have something to do with being in Israel. Back when Hezbollah kidnapped some IDF soldiers, goading Israel into coming after it's personnel, debka was an interesting resource.
