I went 9-5 last week, which puts me at 47-29 for the season. Two bad weeks have drug me down a bit and I'm not happy. Not that me being happy ever changed anything, but still.
The unhappiness will spread around a bit, due to no fault of mine.
I've already picked the Patriots over the Cowboys and this might be the biggest non-event of the year. Neither team is going to be hurt by a loss and neither teams is going to be helped by a win
Patriots win
There are three winless teams, the Rams, the Dolphins, and the Saints ( the Bills played Monday night) None of them are playing at home, but that hasn't made a difference anyway. The Rams play the Raven who are not looking bad, the Dolphins play the Browns who can score a lot of points, and the Saints play the Seahawks who deny my ability to predict anything. I'll take the losers to keep on losing!
Ravens Win
Browns win
Seahawks win
The Panthers hired Vinny Testaverde as a possible quarterback and that's all he's ever really been. Plus, and this is a very large plus, Testaverde and I were in High School at the same time. Yes, the man is a dinosaur. For all of you who like the4 heartwarming stories about an eldly player coming off the bench for one last hurrah, I wish you luck. The Cards have been playing sound defense and that spells geriatric genocide.
Cardinals Win
The Redskin go into Green Bay after an impressive win over Detroit. The packers lost an important and heartbreaking game to the Bears. This is going to be a tricky game for The Pack. The Redskins smell blood, and an upset. Anywhere but Green Bay I got the other way but...
Green Bay Wins
I pick them to win and they lose I pick them to lose and they win. The Jaguars confound me. Suppose I pick you to tie, huh? What you gonna do then, smart ass?
The Texans have struggled the last couple of games, the jags have not.
Jaguars win
Both the Bengals and the Chiefs have played with major cases of Multiple Personality Disorder this season. Both teams have played dismal and they both have played well. They both have losing records. Coin toss says...
Bengals win
After losing their home opener, the Bucs haven't lost a game yet. Yet they are also erratic. The play a more stable Titans team, but they do play at home. I'll take the Titans.
Titans win
The Chargers played very well against the Broncos, but Denver put the ball on the ground too often to win. The Raiders just are not a very good team. Will SD get on track and win two in a row?
Chargers win.
The Vikings have won one game all year, against the hapless Atlanta Foul-cons. They play a Bears team which seems to be coming out of hibernation.
Bears win
Between the two of them, the Eagles and the Jets have won a game a piece. New England, unless god strikes them dead, will walk away with the NFC East.
Jets win
The G-men head into ATL Monday night to play the Hapless Atlanta Foul-cons. Atlanta ‘s teams is not nearly as bad as they appear, but they're playing a team looking to stay in the hunt for a post season playoff spot. Unless owner Arthur Blank gets his money back out of Michael Vick and buys a lot of tickets, the Foul-cons will spend the post season watching a lot of football on television. The Giants might be playing.
Giants Win.
Are there only 13 games this week? Did I miss one or two?

GO PACKERS!
For completely personal/emotional and reasons with nothing to support my reasoning I hope Seattle LOSES their pants! NOLA may very well surprise YOU! :=) They have done it before. They may rush in like a hurricane. NOLA are survivors! Winners and survivors!
My Dallas Cowboys friend and I just finished a heated debate over Dallas. I am happy that you agree with me about the New England/Dallas game. I do like Dallas better, but I am nervous after seeing Monday night's game. My friend doesn't seem to understand my reservations. He rushed over here from work (can you believe that! he got so frenzied he left work!), newspaper stats in hand to prove to me that Dallas was #1 in NFC in offense. I told him, "BIG DEAL!" That speaks volumes for the NFC, and who would win the Superbowl were it played this week -- not the NFC. I hope Dallas wins this Sunday, but it ain't looking so good.
Good luck Dallas, but my money would be on New England, were I to bet. :=[
Thanks Firesmith!
Buffalo, Denver, Detroit, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, and San Francisco.
That thread got completely out of hand.
But yeah, the Texans have stumbled as of late, I hpe they return to their winning ways.
I watched their firsty game over Dallas years ago.
what family?
There are only 2 games CBS is airing at 4:15 EDT on Sunday --
1. Oakland at San Diego
2. New England at Dallas
The fact that Oakland is a Bay Area team -- well -- you already know which one CBS shall be airing here. We might stand a chance were Oakland playing at home and didn't sellout, but as fate would have it -- no! :=[
It's raining here in the Bay Area now. Often the rain moves South. I hope the rain moves south to San Diego, and it rains so horribly they call the game OFF. I want to see the Dallas game. Oakland spoils our ability to see really good games.
Looking on the bright side, let's see who wins. It may decide who the real champion of the AFC West is going to be. I already feel it's San Diego, NOT the Traitors.
