Last year I saw the ads for Dexter coming to Showtime. At the time I thought a show about a blood cutting serial killer was a very stupid idea. Not my kind of show.
Well last couple of weeks , my on demand had free episodes of Dexter. My wife said lets look at one. Like trying to eat one potato chip, we couldn't watch just one. We watch the whole season.
I was wrong. Very wrong. You can make an entertian show about a serial killer. Two resons: 1. very excellent writing and 2. Micheal C. Hall.
Dexter (Micheal C. Hall) is a very friendly forensics expert for the Miami Police Deptment, hobby is dismemberment of serial killers that the police can't catch. He also pretends to be normal. He looks at us as if he is an alein being that trying to understand human race. His view point sometime is hilarious. Since he doen't have real emotions, he see much more then we do.
I highly reccommend this show with a couple of warnings. I saw the edited verison which means no nudity and no swearing. The showtime verison has both. But be prepared to see lots of blood and body parts. ( I will never understand why people think veiwing the human body is wrong but it is o.k. to see sever body parts, buckets of blood and gruesome forms of death.) Also, this show isn't for kids.
