(AKA, me whining about airplanes)
1. Having to "get through" the security checkpoints. There's nothing fun about nearly stripping down, removing your belt, shoes, emptying your pockets and gingerly walking through "the scanner".
2. Waiting for 1-2 hours at your gate to find out the flight has been "delayed".
3. Not being able to task a simple bottle of water into the airport but being able to buy water for $3.75 a bottle.
4. Sitting in the middle seat.
5. I miss the meal service. I must be the only one thought that airplane food "wasn't that bad."
6. Not being able to jump onto a half full plane that is leaving in five minutes without having to change your "super saver fare" to one that costs an additional $150. I mean what gives? There's an open seat but unless In want to double or triple the cost of my ticket I have to wait for the next flight in two hours. Anyone experience this phenomena?
7. Sitting next to a big guy with BBO... (Bad Body Odor).
8. The little curtain that is always drawn closed that seperates me from first class.
9. Take offs... and landings. Is there anything as scary in the world? Can you tell I'm not a fan of flying?
10. Having your gate on one end of a large terminal and your connecting flight on the complete opposite end of the terminal... and only ten minutes to get there.
Any commernts or things that bug you about flying the "friendly" skies?

I have experienced #10 several times.
1 - prescreen - they checked my passport and itinerary and asked the questions they used to ask here - did you pack your own bags?, did anyone you didn't know give anything to carry?, were your bags in your position the whole time?
2 - check in for the flight
3 - security - it's pretty much the same here except I didn't have to take off my shoes
4 - customs - had to get the passport stamped to leave the country
5 - show my passport to get to the glass enclosed area where my gate was (apparently somewhere between going through security and customs I picked up a new passport in the airport)
6 - go through security again to get into the glass enclosed area where my gate was
7 - once again I had to show my passport and ticket to get to my gate
8 - to get on the plane
I avoid much of this by wearing shoes I can slip out of fast. I have a purse and that gets searched. (Which is great motivation for me to clean it out..rofl) I try to avoid wearing a belt when I fly, or even having it in my carry on bag. I also keep my pockets empty until after security. Not so easy for a man to do though, with a wallet.
2. Waiting for 1-2 hours at your gate to find out the flight has been "delayed".
That part is no fun AT ALL. No way around it if it happens to you.
3. Not being able to task a simple bottle of water into the airport but being able to buy water for $3.75 a bottle.
This one just SUCKS, for lack of a better word to express myself.
4. Sitting in the middle seat.
I am a fairly short woman, and fairly small in general.
Still, I too, dread the middle seat.
5. I miss the meal service. I must be the only one thought that airplane food "wasn't that bad."
Another one I cannot argue with. Some flights do not even have peanuts! What an outrage. (Try flying to Vegas from SD and you'll see)

OMG YES!!! This happened to me a few months ago. Pure b.s.
7. Sitting next to a big guy with BBO... (Bad Body Odor).
I thank God this has never happened to me.
8. The little curtain that is always drawn closed that seperates me from first class.
Have you see the upgrades to first class by checking in the automated terminals?
Another chance to upgrade if you only pay xxx amount of bucks.
9. Take offs... and landings. Is there anything as scary in the world? Can you tell I'm not a fan of flying?
I have had a few easy take off and landings, and a few terrible, just terrible ones.
10. Having your gate on one end of a large terminal and your connecting flight on the complete opposite end of the terminal... and only ten minutes to get there.
This happened to me when returning from Vegas on the same trip with NO PEANUTS!
Any commernts or things that bug you about flying the "friendly" skies?
I am not a fan either:(
