I was just wondering how many people are choosing/chose to have the vitamin k jab for their baby and who didn't and why.
I don't like just accepting what the government or someone else recommends with anything, without informing myself of everything I can about these types of things myself. I couldn't and am not willing to accept, that it is recommended to be my newborn a vitamin k jab because the government says it is better to be safe.
I did some research into the vitamin k for newborns and am now thinking that I will not be giving my newborn this.

The two links above are two of the things that made me think differently about this subject and what to do when my little one pops out.
I think I will choose to supplement with a vitamin k capsule beforehand and make sure that the cord isn't cut until it stops pulsating.
I would be very interested to know what others did though or are deciding on. I guess, we are never really informed properly on things, and there are tonnes of decisions as mothers/parents we have to make when it comes to the birth of our children and beyond.
Thank you for your input.
