My wife just sent me this email describing my youngest daughters attempts at singing the song Days of Elijah.

If you are wanting a good laugh I truly wish you could hear her singing this song. Anyway, for the past 20 minutes or so she's been singing this interesting version of "Days of Elijah" chorus. She's been singing it so beautifully. I finally went and asked her to sing it for me so I could write down the words. Then I tried HARD not to laugh at her. Here is her version
Be holy comes
riding on the ground
blowing the trumpet hard
and He never forgets
There's no God like Jehovah (repeat until mom asks you to stop hehehehe)
What does it mean? Well, I'm not 100% sure but she is convinced this is the better version of it. I did ask her what it is that 'He never forgets". She looked at me like this was obvious. He never forgets to love us!
She may not know the exact lyrics but she is happy to be praising God. So, once again God shows me that it doesn't have to be perfect to be true worship. It is a heart attitude. To have the joy of a child...no inihibitions and no fear of what others think. Plus she is firm in thinking this is the way it should be sung.
Just thought I'd share this with you and hopefully put a smile on your faces.

The link I included above direct to a web site that has the actual lyrics to Days of Elijah so you can compare what my daughter is singing to 'what it should be'...
And anyone who knows my daughter knows that she inherited her daddy's stubbornness. We will be hard pressed to convince her that her words are not the correct ones...
Reminds me of the old Family Circus cartoons when the little girl would sing "Andy walks with me"...
