It's sill October, but it's definitely not too early to start thinking about Nanowrimo, National Novel Writing Month. Get signed up and get ready for 50,000 words in 30 days this November.
Information is already online for next year's Pi-Con, August 22-24 2008 in West Springfield MA. We are tentatively planning on attending. My latest "On the Road" column covers our experiences at last August's Pi-Con. We had a great time. You can read the article here.

I also write an ongoing fiction serial at The Edge of Propinquity, which appears each month along with four other stories by very talented writers. New stories will be going online this weekend.
I have three stories appearing in the Finis collection, which is now available for purchase.
My personal zine is Caravan, which appears in the Phoenix APA. The new issue of Phoenix just arrived. You can find out more about Phoenix on their yahoo group.

For the gamers out there, I sell Magic: The Gathering cards on Cardshark. My seller ID is rsilva. You can find my inventory here.

Yes, I teach chemistry at CCA. FA is our main sports rival (to the extent that we have sports rivalries; neither place is much of a "jock" school).
I have not attended Wicked Faire, but I have met the person running the event and had some fairly in-depth conversations with him about it. Wicked Faire is a combination of indoor Renaissance Faire, LARP, and science fiction convention. We were scheduled to attend their other event, Wicked Labyrinth, a few weeks ago, but had to cancel due to a family emergency.
The people who I spoke to who attended Wicked Labyrinth all had a great time at the event.
Follow the link in the article to the Wicked Faire website to get the details directly from the source if you're interested in attending.
...then again, I am kind of biased. :)
