Busy but Productive Day

   How did your Wednesday go?  Mine wasn't too bad!

   Work went ok.  Then got to come home and spend some time with my hubby.  We ran out for lunch at a local Mexican restaurant.  Great food, and not expensive!  I took lots of pictures of the shopping plaza that restaurant is in.  I shared some tonight and will post more later.  Keep an eye out for them! 

   Got the kids from school and then we went out for some fun together before heading home to hit the school books and get some chores done.  It was mass chaos as always but we got it all done.

   This week at the local library, my kids got to see a local policeman -- well, actually 2 of them.  It is National Safety Week.  Time to check your smoke alarm batteries, plan an escape route from your house in case of fire, check your fire extinguisher, and so on.  My youngest got to shoot the fireman's hose at school the other day!  He said there was water everywhere -- he loved it!  But at the library, he got to see a police cruiser as well as a motorcycle, and all the widgets on them.  The kids got to push the siren on, got their running speed clocked on the officer's speed gun, got handcuffed, and had a wonderful time.  You can see plenty of pictures from this on Gather as well.  I may post a couple more -- I have to see what else I have from that day.

   I managed to pay a couple of bills, handle some paperwork from the school, do some filing, and then watched "Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares", one of my favorite shows.  I just love anything Chef Ramsay does!  What do you think of the show, or other shows or cookbooks he's done?  Now I'm just getting ready to read a bit before bed, because tomorrow will be even busier!

Sounds like a very busy but fun day...My day wasn't too bad, although I felt blah all day, it wasn't too bad... :)

It was a cold & windy day here in Minnesota. I went over to my Mom's this morning, around 8:00, called the computer people in Texas to please get my work computer up & running. They finally got it done by around 1:00 - then I took lunch. I just needed to get out of the apartment & away from the cigarette smoke (I don't smoke). So I went to the UPS store & sent a package to work & then I ate at Panera (soup & half sandwich) then I had to run to Cub Foods to get a couple of groceries for dinner.
Then back to Mom's & did some cleaning & some work.
Cooked tacos for us all....Mom raved about how good they tasted! She hadn't had them in a long time & thought they tasted so yummy!

Oops, forgot...then i did a load of laundry & came over to my room at her apartment complex (guest room). Decided to eat a HoneyCrisp apple & relax on gather for awhile. Now it's almost time to read my book for a bit.

Talked on the phone with girlfriend while cleaning the house from top to bottom for 2 hours. In laws arrived and entertained my daughter for 1 hour then her friend came over and played -picked up hubby made dinner cleaned kitchen, gathered put child to bed, gathering........

It's been a fairly quiet day here, other than the older two keeping the youngest from napping, and someone lost the remote... lol. We did some homeschoolling, but mostly took things easy since everyone has a slight cold.

The only thing I really did today was watch our school's football team get beat again. LOL

We had a late start day , so went to work at 9am instead of 8am worked my 3.5 hrs , then went home ate some leftovers, drove to my husbands shop picked up some chili and two pieces of wood drove that over to my oldest daughters house then went on to my mom's. We drove to the pharm. and she picked uup her month's supply of pills and I walked to the cleaners same parking lot dropped two items off and will pick them up next Tuesday at $4.65 I guess it is worth it. Then we drove to Target but first we went to Dollar Tree and looked for mailing supplies. None found so off to Target, we get mailing supplies and I bought a book, got two at Dollar Tree!! no surprise here. Then when we were done we walked over to 31 flavors and had single scoop in a cup for both of us. Then on to Stater Bros. for weekly grocery shopping for my mom ( she doesn't drive any more ) When I left her house it was about 5 pm because when I got there she had a stack of old newspapers to go to recycle so after getting the groceries and Targetstuff in her apt I put the pappers into the bags to take them to my house, we have city recycling cans. On the way home I stopped off at my oldest daughters because my youngest was there and we had gooten her some crib sheets so I wanted to drop them off. Then on home to unload my groceries and cook dinner Whew that's a lot for one fat middle aged woman !!!! If I say so myself
