Chris Reeve, as you may have already guessed, is my hero. He might have played Superman in four films throughout the 1970s and 1980s, but it's nothing compared to who he was in real life. I still and always will view him as a real Superman; even though he was paralyzed in a horse-riding accident and didn't have a chance to walk again, he believed he would. He was a real trooper, and for that, I've listed him as my number one hero. I don't think I would have as positive of an attitude as he did. If you'd like to join in on more Chris Reeve, join my group; everyone is welcome, and I'm looking forward to seeing you all there!
Have a super day! :)

And I agree he was a Superman in real life also.
A little side story - The Grand Floridian Hotel at Walt Disney World looks inside the main building a lot like the hotel in Somewhere in Time. My wife and I were staying there about 15 years ago and they had someone playing a Grand Piano and he was playing the theme from Somewhere in time - it just felt really weird...my wife loved Somewhere in time and she to is a big fan of Chris Reeve.
I did think he was a great Superman... which inevitably led to a generation of kids (myself included) hoping that we were really adopted with latent super powers.
FWIW, I understand that Robin helped the Reeves out quite a bit.
I loved his can do spirit. And, the way he inspired others.
Growing up with George Reeves (what an interesting coincidence that TWO Supermans shared the same last name) as Superman, I still prefer him to Christopher.
However I think the absolute best was Kirk Alyn who was in the serial "The Adventures of Superman". He had just the same look as the comics, not as "boyish" as either George or Christopher.

It was a sad day for all of his fans.

Fine Superman as the Movies brought Popularity to Young and Old Fans alike.
You cannot control what happens to you, but you can control Your attitude toward what happens to you, and in that, you will be Mastering change rather than allowing it to master you."

The whole story of Christopher Reeves and his wife Dana and their son is sadly magical. I surprised it hasn't been exploited. Chris had a personna unlike many others and the events in his life, increased by his death and his wife's death make for a rich story. Maybe that was part of their legacy yet unrealized.
He was a good actor ... He was also, in a movie( which I cant remember the name of it) but it was where he goes back in time and falls in love with a ghost... It was a good movie...
I love Christopher reeve so much! He is the only superman for me! I cried when he died. :( and I saw his son, he looked just like his dad. :)

Well, I'm telling you, he pumped iron, dyed his hair and became a star...and then millions of people knew who he was. I was happy for him......followed everything he ever did and loved him.
I cried when I saw him interviewed after the accident as did everybody and was stunned when he died-I thought he'd actually walk someday soon. What a man he was.
His picture (as Superman) is on my fridge to remind me of his strength. The good and brave sometimes die young, but always leave an indelible mark on us.
