Currently I do not have a working oven. I do have a crock pot, george foreman grill, and a microwave..... and can use the stove top. I am looking for some crock pot or stove top recipes ... maybe some home made soups and stews .. or anything else you know of that works out great in the crock pot.
Thanks!

Crock Pot German Potato Salad
INGREDIENTS:
6 cups sliced raw potatoes
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup water
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup granulated sugar or sugar substitute
2 tablespoons quick cooking tapioca
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 teaspoons dried parsley flakes
4 slices bacon, cooked, drained, and crumbled, or about 4 tablespoons real bacon bits
PREPARATION:
In a slow cooker, combine potatoes, onion, and celery. In a medium bowl, combine water, vinegar, sugar, tapioca, black pepper and parsley flakes. Pour mixture over potato mixture. mix well to combine.
Cover and cook on LOW for 8 hours. Stir in crumbled bacon. Serve hot.
in large crockpot add 1 4 pound bag tater toots, partially thawed (worked frozen though)
2 bags chopped ham. ( i used john morrel's)
1 or 2 8 oz bags of cheddar cheese (1 if you use peppers and green onions)
9 eggs ( i know that is alot but won't be so dry)
1/2 cup milk
Salt and pepper to taste
Layer the ingredients like a lasagna, tater tots first. End with cheese.
Mix milk and eggs, and pour over all.
Low for 8 hours, high for 3.
Mine got really brown at about 4 hours on high. Maybe the large crockpot throws more heat!
You can adjust and add onions, peppers,
Supposed to be a breakfast food but worked well for dinner!
Take a roast, I use rump roast but any roast will do. Brown it in a skillet with a tad of oil. Put the roast on and cook most of the day on low, in Mushroom or French Onion soup . When tender cut carrots, onions and potatoes up and place in pot for about one hour. Pot Roast. I use to cook this for myself and kids. If I had the time I would also let it cool that way the fat would come to the top and I would take that off and reheat. As a single parent I needed ways to cook that were easy and be able to work also. Cook the meat over night in the morning would let it cool put in the refrigerator, take out when I got home put the vegetables in and heat, in about one and a half hours supper was ready .
Spaghetti can be cooked in a crock pot also.
Rice and anything can make a meal. I use to take rice and use soaps to make a meal.
Chicken and rise in a crock pot works also, a baked chicken from the store and chicken broth and rice in the crock pot.
You can bake a chicken in the crock pot also. Put the chicken in water and cook, be sure that you get the chicken cooked.
When I was a kid one of meals my mother made that I like the most was Hot Dogs and rice.

I use to do this quickly before I left for work and it was great to find when I got home. Also once i got home late and the meat had slipped off the bones. No problem, I just served it on hamburger buns and it was great that way also.
Enjoy.
