Stars over my house

I was playing with the night setting on my camera and thse are some of the shots I got the other nite.  There was no moon to photograph and the power in the area was out. I think it made for some very neat shots.  photos taken with panasonic dmc-tz1 lumix on tri-pod

darn gather killed the last two photo, they are two dark on here but they were a pretty blanket of white stars. maybe some day we will be able to view photos full screan

And I cant fix it either! GRR I hate this new set up where one check mark can mess up things there needs to be another step in there to protect from accidents.

Ya the first two are my favorites. I just wish everyone could see the star shots better. ON my computer they are so cool. I was shocked that so much detail that shows up in them 1000's of stars even little tiny ones

Marianne R no flash goes off. the first two are on the night scenery setting and the others are on starry sky, i still have a night portrait setting to try. and i cant wait for a good full moon night. But i have to say I hate working with a tri-pod but that is what you have to use for a night shot

Thank you for telling me about the tri-pod, I didn't know you had to use one for night shots. I have never tried it, but maybe I should.

What an interesting color in those first few photos, it is eerie but so beautiful. I also have a panasonic DMC camera and have not played with the nighttime setting on it yet. I need to get away from street lights first..

Beautiful images. You've captured a fall evening. We so often see fall day time photos but so seldom the beauty of the changing of the season during the night.

totally cool
those are very cool! I have got to try the night mode on my fujipix s9000 on a tri-pod... all my other night shots with out one don;t come out.

I have a night shot options too but I live in town and all the lights prevent me from seeing many stars.
