Frizzy

A few days ago I ran across an article about hair. There are not many things I've vain, as a matter of fact, my hair and nails are about it.

The problem on the article was flakes due to gel, and frizzy hair. I live in Mississippi, humidity year round, I know about frizzy days.

Mind you my hair is shorter than usual but I finally got a picture of a frizzy day.

 

 

 

Then after I put a product of Milk in my hair.

 

 

 

 

Then a bit later after my hair fully calmed down. I put it in a clip to put back curls and get rid of the frizzy.

 

 

 

 

The way it looks when I do it straight out of the shower which is even better results of course than letting it frizz first. I'm actually proud my son did such a good job taking the picture too.

I know what you mean about frizzy hair. I have curly hair to and I think curls and frizz go hand and hand. Glad to hear that you found a product that works for you. I use a little extra conditioner, about a dime size amount, after the shower and leave it in and my hair stays frizz free all day long. I love it. I live in Washington State and know what you mean about humidity and hair. Good luck, by the way you have nice hair too.

In its natural state my hair wouldn't frizz even in Mississippi; stick straight not an ounce of body at all.

You've got lovely hair when you can control it.. I feel your pain. I've got a perm gone bad. Frizz city. I've got a handful of conditioner and mineral oil in it now with a hot towel.. we'll see if I can tame the beast or if its going to have to be cut. Fun!

Hmnn...Frizzy...!!!

Well, hair gel somewhat helps but when it dry out...it can be worse.

I did have pretty hair, but now it looks like the top picture all the time. So my favorite hair do is a ponytail. At 63 that really isnt cool anymore. LOL. You look great in the last picture, when you did something with yours. I finally gave up. I have tried going to get new hair cuts. They dont listen, cut it like they want it , styles I cant keep up. I know what I want, and they dont seem to be able to understand.

I have made up my mind to try for a wig, then cut it super short. I hate for my ears to get cold in the winter. Thanks for coming by to visit, always enjoy your company.

See Norma, i got spoiled. I used to cut my own hair then I married into a family that has five certified stylests in it. And they listen to me cause otherwise they know I will do it myself or not at all. lol
Have you tried taking a picture to a college. One they are normally happy to have someone in the chair. Second they have help if they can't do it themselves.
The last picture was for a dinner party the other night, with one of the stylists. If I don't do my hair and just have it in a ponytail or clip I get looks from her. lol

Great story! I can't sympathize, since I pretty much have stick straight that just sort of hangs around and won't grow (it's shorter than yours and hasn't been cut in 24 years, except for teensy "dustings" once a year. But sis has hair like yours, and it's the bane of her life! How lucky to have sytlists who will listen to you!

Stacy, I lived in Northern California, near San Francisco. Out there my hair seemed only wavy, not a lot of curl and yah, frizz, as when I lived near Washington DC or anywhere in the south. I thought, well gee, I must have outgrown my natural curls. Honey...that was NOT the case. Not a lot of humidity out there. I moved to Missouri, oh lord, there it was in all it's glory. My hair is not cork screw curly but it has that nice sleek look, oh about 10 minutes in the humidity. Then it's back to lots of curls and waves. I just learned how to have it cut now so it is tamed, uh...sorta. Now it just looks cuter with the cut, nto out and out frizz city. lol!

By the way, I really love the last picture. You great!

My hair gets seriously frizzy too! I'm able to tame it every so often.

That's funny! My daughter has friz problems with her hair in summer. Me, not so much. Mine likes to lie flat most of the time.

Stacy, I grew up in Biloxi and have always had the same problem with my hair! That's why I keep it short!
