One for the kids!
Based on a recipe served at Big Al’s Pizza, the best pizza in the world!
4 slices bacon, cut into small pieces
1/2 lb ground beef
2 T dried minced onion
1/4 cup chopped pickle
1 T dry ranch seasoning
1 small tomato, thinly sliced (optional)
1 cup American cheese, shredded
1 frozen pizza dough, thawed
1 egg, beaten
Heat oven to 400º.
In a large frying pan, cook bacon over medium heat til brown. Add ground beef and onion; cook til beef is browned. Drain well and return to pan.
Stir in pickles and ranch mix.
Spread dough onto round pizza pan. Top half with meat mixture, spreading almost to edge.
Spread tomato slices over the meat (if using) and sprinkle with cheese. Fold dough over filling; press edges with fingers to seal. Poke a few holes in the top with a fork. Brush top with egg.
Bake 15-20 minutes or til golden brown. Immediately remove and serve.
Variations: Mix in mustard or ketchup when meat is cooked.

you find frozen bread dough in the freezer section of your grocery store, by the frozen pie dough and cinnamon rolls
Now, how did you know that I was defrosting chopped meat again?
Sounds wonderful. I've got to try this.
Hope she likes it, Tara.
Not so much, Sandra :)
As for Scott, he left Gather back in the beginning of July. He got tired of all the Drive By 1's, flagging and immature acting members attacking with their comments and such...the ones who think their way is the only way trying to run the show and tell others what they can and can't do. On top of that, he also tried to start a couple gay groups and tried to get some support from Gather, but they wouldn't even give him the time of day. He wanted to have a gay subdivision to get homosexual-related articles featured and Gather turned a deaf ear...they wanted no part of the gay community. He was almost thinking about coming back...until he found out Gather would not allow gay-themed entries into their ongoing Romance Novel competition. They slipped that rule in after some gay stories were entered...and then disqualified them and booted them out. I highly doubt if you'll ever seem him participate here again.
Thanks, Tiffany.
Rob, you're right, I guess I did say you could have ketchup. I didn't know about all of that happening with Scott. I can understand why he wouldn't want to participate anymore. Now I am surprised that you have stuck it out, knowing that is going on. And these companies that discriminate best watch it, aren't gays the group with the highest incomes?
Thanks, Cristina.
Lucky you, Ana! If I could buy crust from Big Al's, I would need a floor freezer just for that!
(I didn't put up the pic I really wanted. I woulda had to flag another damn recipe)
Thanks, Donna :)
This sounds wonderful.
And always glad to see you around, Taliah.
