WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today October 4, 2007 announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.

Name of Product: Bookmarks and Journals

Units: About 150,000

Importer: Antioch Publishing, of Yellow Springs, Ohio

Hazard: Paint on the spiral metal bindings of the journals, clip of the bookmarks and the clear coating on the marquis bookmarks and bracelets contain excessive levels of lead, which violates the federal lead paint ban.

Incidents/Injuries: None reported.
