The Colors Of Fall

West Virginia is a beautiful state.

In Spring it really begins to come to life as the flowers and the trees begin to bud. In summer, it is so green. I am amazed at the various shades of green there are. In winter it is beautiful when it is blanketed with a fresh white snow.

 

But in fall, you will be amazed at all the color and beauty that you are exposed to in the mountains of this state.

It is the fall season that I want to show you.

 

The leaves are beginning to turn colors. As they do so, the mountains just seem to wave like a flag in the wind.

 As the leaves begin to fall, the crisp air begins to move in.

 

These photos were all taken today. I hope you have enjoyed the fall colors and beauty that Heavenly Father has put  in these mountains for us all to enjoy.

Wish I could be up there to see the colors of fall. I miss them. It won't get very pretty down here. Our Bradford pears will change red and they'll be quite pretty, but that will pretty much be it. Nice photo essay, Mom!

You know, I don't think ever been in W. Virginia...just Virginia.

It's still in the upper 80's/low 90's here, so our trees aren't turning yet.

You dont know what you are missing. West Virginia is a beautiful state. You cant see the real beauty from the interstate though. You have to get off on the other roads.

Trees are changing in Shawnee, Kansas too. We have some really big hills, but no mountains! Very nice display!

Thanks for your kind comment. I have been to Kansas many times but not in the fall. I am always there in early August. I don't know where Shawnee is though.

I thought you were around TN/W Va. I can tell by the gorgeous mountains! I like WI in the Fall because of the color, but that is all. Can't wait 'til I can move somewhere with mountains like you!
