Spending too much on your cell phone?

Well, I was sitting down this afternoon looking into the upcoming bills that need to be paid this Friday. Our cell phone coverage and cost has been something we have been meaning to look into for a while now. We are spending an average of $59 per month (for 12 months) for two our two cell phones. Last year we spent a total of $701.99 on our cell phone coverage for the year and we don’t use our phones that often.

We recently moved to a more rural area and have noticed our cell phones don’t get a signal at our house. This is a big problem for us and I am finally looking into other cell phone plans/ phones and options. Why throw away $700 a year on a silly phone that we don’t even use that often and have no reception for when we are home? I went ahead and compared our current plan and found that we seem to have a pretty good deal as it is. We get 500 anytime minutes through t-mobile and we pay an average of $59 per month. Now we know we wont be getting a better cell phone plan with another company because wirefly showed us all the plans they offer with all the other cell phone companies..

It was a very helpful comparison tool and it put me at ease about the cost of our cell phone plan.
