Lima Cemetery

I was visiting a friend in Iowa this weekend near Clermont, and we went out to the Lima Cemetery and I wanted to share this amazing tombstone with you.........

COOL! They have similar things as this at Gettysburg of some of the soldiers. I wonder if they were done by the same individual.

It amazes me that people put more thought and artistic effort into tombstones than they typically do in their lives! This is a great tombstone though. thanks for sharing!

Very good Collage Melinda. good to show how thick the monument is, nice detail in the close ups. Amazing its been around more than 100 years, and it still shows the intricate carvings on the stone. Good shot of the dog.
