Ft. Lauderdale - Winterfest Boat Parade info.

The Winterfest Boat Parade on The Intercoastal Waterway in Ft. Lauderdale Florida, will be held on December 15, 2007 at 6:30 to 10 p.m.

Actress Lorraine Bracco will be grand marshal of the Winterfest Boat Parade in December, organizers announced Saturday (She's purchased a home in Hollywood, Florida.).

The parade has usually around 100 boats (boats large ans small) will travel along the Intracoastal Waterway from the New River to Lake Santa Barbara in Pompano Beach, trun around and head back to the New River.

When I sit along the intercoastal and watch this, it feels like Christmas is close by.

Connie, for me it is a tradition to see it, some people go all out chartering boats, renting hotel rooms, people who live along the intercoastal waterway have big parties. The resturants take reservations and book up so you can't even go to a restaurant to watch it while having dinner, it is such a big things down here.;-)

Elaine, I thought of you this weekend. I met a girl who works at Disneyworld. She escorts characters, guiding them since many can't see through their costumes.
