As I was wandering around the Cranberry Festival at Edaville Railroad yesterday, I kept looking for scenes from my childhood....I can remember as a small tot coming to ride the trains in winter all bundled up in winter clothes, hats and mittens to see the Festival of Lights. I can remember equally, coming to the annual Barbecue Festival in July in short shorts, tank tops and barefoot. With that in mind, I took some photographs today knowing they would be images from my past...

and there you have, time traveling!

Yesterday it was hot and humid and I actually went swimming after the festival....more to give Tuck a bath in the pond then to actually do any swimming...but the water was incredibly warm (as it is in July) so I took the plunge! This morning a rather cool north east wind blows off the pond...I doubt there will be any swimming today. Today it feels like fall!
these do look very thirties :) Love the train pictures, elizabeth
Thanks flit for stopping by.....they do look historical, I must say....having perused so many historical images in museums and in books, they look authentic...but I can see Ruth's point!
Thanks Nana for stopping by...first tried black and white....but I liked the effect of sepia best.

I hope that the 3 marchers in your school system will still have jobs when they return on Tuesday. If not, an article in the local newspaper might be effective.
Tuesday in support but also there just be a confrontation between supt. and school committee. We'll have to wait for Tuesday to see how this all plays out.
Very effective. Looking forward to the little Bob photos now!
