The puppies have arrived!!!!!

Ok .. so we didn't have one .. two... three or four .. we had TEN!!!!! Yup folks ten.... TEN Puppies and we are not even sure if she is done yet!!! 

So when I thought I was taking in one dog and helping one poor desperate doggy I was taking in a whole LARGE size family of dogs!!  Pup's appear to all be healthy and well. Mama dog is doing great too! AMEN. I have been so nervous and worried and it seems she and the pups are going to be alright!

I will post some pictures of them later tonight or tomorrow. I have to go get my friends digital camera   :)  I only have a web cam .. and my phone for taking pic's.

The puppies are adorable. Most of them look like brindle. They are black, brown, white spoty. A few are more tan .. some more brown .. all have spots! AND .. just like dalmations they will get more as they age!!!!!

Meanwhile I know my male dog is sitting back like "it wasn't me mom!"  LOL If she wasn't already pregnant when we got her .. and I didn't know she was then I would try to blame them on my dog since they do look a lot like him ....

PS ... mom if your reading this dad has done almost everything but threaten my life telling me NOT to bring any to your house and say NO you can not have one ... LOL

..... umm anyone in michigan that is close enough to come get one when they are old enough is welcome to have one. I am not going to be keeping them.... definetly not all ten!  :)  I would just have to know you will treat them like your child  .. or better! HA

My mom took some pic's and put them on her page .. the lil sneak!!!!

She wants one and my dad is like "Hell no!" LOL .. umm they already have 10 cats, 1 dog ..gerbils, rats and fish! I think if I gave her one my dad would duct tape me to a tree in the woods somewhere and leave me for dead .. LMAO .. ok so not literally but I know he wouldn't talk to me for a while .. hahahhahahhaha ..

Put some tape over Dad's mouth. I already fell in love with one of the tan brindle pups! I will be coming and checking on the looks and personalities of the pups over the next few weeks. If there is one very special, pretty, smart, and friendly pup there that happens to be a male...... Well, we will just lock Dad in the closet.

Oh, and post more close up pics of the pups. I didn't get to see them real well while they were in the cage and she was still having them! Post close ups especially of the tan brindle ones!

Congrats! Just keep an eye on them. With such a big litter it may be hard for mama to feed them all at once. Mine have had big litters and most of the time they took turns. But we always made sure that the littlest ones got a turn. Good luck.

Make sure the smaller ones don't get pushed out or crushed...even by a well meaning mommy dog.

Mama dog is doing great! We have been watching her like a hawk and she has been pretty much feedingthem aroudn the clock. We have already notcied which one is the 'greedy ones' and which one is the 'runt' However all the pups seem to be close in size. Mama dog is just to cute with them. I was worried with her having been so young and stuff that she wasn't going to be good with the pups. She herself is still a pup! She however lays down to let them nurse and she wraps her paws around in a circle like in the front and the puppies just pile in!!!!! I need to change all her bedding and stuff today though and I am so hoping she is going to be ok with that .... still working it out in my head how I am going to do it without upsetting the new mommy or pups. I know they advise against toughing them ... but I would rather her and pups stay in totally clean bedding all the time! :) Mama dog sure does seem like a proud mom!

She doesn't have an 'official name' since we haven't had her long. We normally call her 'mommy' or 'Charity' and she comes to either! I am glad that she was able to have the pups with no problems and that they are all doing good. I was a nervous 'grandma' over here!

Puppies are doing fantastic. Mom seems to be a proud and loving one! She will only leave the pups long enough to eat, drink, go potty ... give us some quick lovin's then she bolts back to her babies! Seems like she is feeding them around the clock! Could you imagine if people had that many babies at once? I know there would be a lot less people having kids!!! HAHAHHAHAHA

Yeah mom wants one .. dad says no! If you look above in the comments you will figure out who dad is .. LOL
