Flea Market Finds

I hit a flea market today at our local senior citizens center.

This is what I got

Beatles throw pillow $1.00 ( my husband collects Beatles stuff, so this is for him)

Vinyl tablecoth for when we go camping $1

Lighthouse salt and pepper shakers $1 ( I collect light house stuff)

6 fantasy books for my son $3 total

Phillie Fanatic Build a Bear $2

Electronic label machine $10 (my daughter's been bugging me for one forever)

Homemade Zucchini bread $2

3 plastic serving spoons 75 cents total

I think I did pretty good for myself today!

Anyone else find anything today?

My mom used to love to trawl the yard sales and I went along to annoy and try to talk her out of 99% of her purchases because: 1) she never needed the stuff; 2) she just piled it into a box when she got home and 3) that's what daughters are supposed to do. I have always had sufficient junk for my needs and do not like pawing over other people's junk as that seems too personal for me. I have become a fan of the free cycle program which is supported on Yahoo.groups because it allows futher use of something you have that another might need and it is free. My hubby upgraded all of our monitors to LCDs but we had 2 old CRTs and I advertised them on the free cyle site for our county and they were gone within a day to homes in need of a monitor and not picky about what kind they had for use.

I love flea markets and garage sales but haven' t been to one in a long time. I used to go to garage sales in the rich neighborhoods and get name brand clothes for my daughter for very little.
