The Gather Makes Its Mark On Your World Video...

Hi Everyone, I am posting this article to remind all of you about the Gather Guides Video contest. We are not on the second week of the contest which started on the 24^th of September and entries will be accepted till midnight 14^th October. So all of you who are interested in entering the competition, now is the time! Get those videos in as soon as you can. The Gather Guides™ (guides.gather.com) are celebrating our love for Gather and the release of video by sponsoring a contest, and YOU get the prizes!

A total of six (6) prizes will be awarded, with a combined value of over $200.00!

To be eligible, simply create a video showing off the Gather 'g' in a unique way, or comment on a video entered into the competition. Two ways to win, and all community members are eligible!

Here's the deal. We want you to display the Gather 'g' in an original and innovative way (without breaking the law of course!). Paint it on the side of your barn, mow it into your lawn, hang hundreds of 'g' cut-outs from the tree in your front yard, or give yourself (or someone else) a new Gather 'g' haircut. If you are one of the 3 most creative entries, you'll soon be seeing 'g'reen in the form of a Visa Gift Card!

Our three (3) favorite Video creations will win Visa Gift Cards, chosen by originality, creativity & presentation by the Gather Guides Team and 8 guest judges from the Gather Community (guest judges will be announced later in the competition).

The "Gather makes its mark on your world" video contest begins 09/24/07 and ends on 10/14/07 at 11:59:59 EDT. Winners will be announced on 10/22/2007 in the Gather Guides™ group at guides.gather.com.

Rules & Requirements for Video submissions:

Entries must be original and created by the member for this contest.
Videos must clearly show the infamous Gather 'g'.
Minimum video length is 20 seconds.
Slideshows are allowed.
The video winners will be judged on originality, creativity and presentation.
Videos must be published to "The Gather Guides™" group at guides.gather.com. Entries may also be published to as many other on-topic groups as desired.
Ratings and number of comments on each entry will NOT be a factor in determining the winners.
The video submission period begins 09/24/2007 and expires on 10/14/2007 at 11:59:59 pm EDT.

Rules & Requirements for Comment submissions:

The commenting entry period begins 09/24/2007 and expires on 10/14/2007 at 11:59:59 pm EDT.
Each member commenting will only be entered once. Therefore, multiple comments on the same video will not increase your chances of winning.
One (1) comment will be chosen at random from each winning video, for a total of three (3) unique winners.
Members entering a video in the competition are also eligible for the commenting prize. However, winners of the video competition will be removed from the commenting prize drawing.
