What is art? It is truly in the eyes of the beholder. Warhol, Picasso, Monet, Renoir, Mapplethorpe, Annie Leibovitz, Van Gogh, all artists, all have been the subject of criticism. What is one man's trash is another man's treasure, or so the saying goes...
I am in no way an art historian, nor do I claim to have any education in the arts whatsoever, but I do enjoy occasionally looking at sculptures, paintings, photos, etc. My creative artistic medium of choice is photography. I do it for the love of the image. I can't draw, paint, sculpt or write music, so I take pictures. I think I have a 'good eye'. I am a creative person. I have been in Radio Broadcasting since 1989. I love Radio. It has been a creative outlet, as has the medium of Podcasting. I enjoy creating shows to be played for others on the Internet. I let the creative juices flow with that as well. My sense of humor is not always appreciated or understood by people. I love all sorts of weird, crazy, odd, unusual things that may or may not turn you on. You may run away!
I have always been a bit different. I'm not one to fit in with the 'normal' people. I color outside the lines, shall we say.
My podcasts are pretty much for my own entertainment, as we humans are bombarded with media 24-7, and often don't have or don't want to take time to listen to alternative entertainment options. Lost in the shuffle, ....that's me! It's difficult to find and keep regular listeners. After all, there are 10 Jillion other more interesting things to do with ones' free time. I am in love with podcasts. I listen to them instead of the radio these days, and I work in the radio business! I love the convenience of having access to content that I want to hear, when I want to hear it! I regularly listen to at least 5 different podcasts. There are so many wonderful, artistic podcasters out there, it really puts the preprogrammed Dreck of commercial radio to shame!
I have virtually given up on the wasteland that is primetime TV, circa 2007. I miss my old favorite shows from the past, but luckily, many are now on DVD.
Ho Hum,
Maybe I will get recognition for my so-called 'art' someday....
