CrossOver is software that allows you to run Windows applications on your Mac without installing or owning a copy of Windows! Up until now, it has been overshadowed by Parallels and VMWare, which allow you to run Windows "in a Window", but require a purchased copy of Windows XP/Vista. I'm very impressed that CrossOver is running this brand new game - Team Fortress 2 (part of Valve's new "Orange Box" gaming collection) because one key complaint about CrossOver previously has been performance and compatibility. Congrats CrossOver team for adding a solid option to the Windows-on-a-Mac universe!
Please enjoy this humorous video of the CrossOver team trying the different Windows options on their Macs. I'll let you guess who wins.

A Scandalous Overture

I think the value of these programs that allow Windows on a Mac are for the millions of people who like Macs for their security, stability, ease of use and included creative software, but are held back by that 'one program' that currently exists only for Windows. Many of my legal and architectural clients, for example, have been able to switch to Mac and reap its benefits while running one legacy piece of software. Apple's switch to Intel processors has made this possible and was a tremendously positive decision, in my opinion.
Also - feel free to contact me at any time. I have access to deep discounts, particularly if you don't mind an open box/refurb model (same warranty as new and recertified by Apple).
