Debra Cagan, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Coalition Affairs -- a Defense Department position reporting directly to Defense Secretary Robert Gates -- shocked British Members of Parliament in a September London meeting whose purpose was to discuss the Bush Administration stance on Iran and Iraq by announcing that she hates all Iranians.
According to the accounts of three witnesses present at the September 11 meeting who confirmed the story to London's Daily Mail, Cagan made it clear that although the US had no plans to attack Iran, it did not rule out doing so if the Iranians ignored warnings not to develop a nuclear bomb.
Cagan continued, and in a direct quote, said: "In any case, I hate all Iranians."
Ms. Cagan's mission in London is to keep the Iraq coalition together. Britians were stunned by her comments.

Of course, I understand Iran is surprisingly tolerant of the transgendered. So I don't know why she'd feel that way about them.
When the Iranian President proclaimed his intention to wipe a whole nation off the map, there was widespread criticism of him round the globe. And the world knew that a person who had been associated with the hostage crisis could not have become a moderate overnight. Whether his utterances were intended to keep the hard core elements within his government in good humor is another matter. Either way, even if Iranians may not toe the line of its rulers, in the present context Iran has to be viewed as a rogue nation and the comments by individuals would also get molded in the same category.
Why expect individuals to nurse cold war within and expect them to act hypocritically? I reckon allowing people to give vent to their feelings would amount to sort of arousing public opinion through colleagues without pointing a finger directly at the enemy!
What a horror show. No wonder the world hates and despises this administration.
Given the number of sex-industry types (Jeff Gannon, the military guy on Fox) that Bushies look to for love, this hideous creature is probably better acquainted with the night.
The poor thing has not learned how to apply her make-up for daytime appearances rather than the harsh lights of the Drag Show.
After seeing Peter's comment I read the tags. "Life is a cabaret" is good too. Excellent Weimar hair-do.
