Brycen and Tom d. are amongst the two smartest kids on Gather. Listen to this kid's wisdom:
Tom d. One Smart Kid
CLEVELAND (2-2) at NEW ENGLAND (4-0) - CLE has been working on stopping big plays by rotating defensive players in and out. NE is too strong for CLE to work any kind of surprise magic. Pats all the way.
TAMPA BAY (3-1) at INDIANAPOLIS (4-0) - TB has lost RB Cadillac Williams and that will hurt. They have adequate backups but they do not have enough tools to defeat INDY in INDIANAPOLIS. Colts win this one.
DALLAS )4-0) at BUFFALO (1-3) - Buffalo won a surprise victory last week but just does not have enough to compete with this Cowboy team. Cowboys in this one.
CHICAGO (1-3) at GREEN BAY (4-0) - The Pack does not have a strong running game and sooner or later all that passing is going to end up in interceptions. Bret is famous for his INTs. CHI will start winning again this weekend. Da Bears.
SEATTLE (3-1) at PITTSBURG (3-1) - The Seahawks may be feeling very smug after their mugging of the NINERS last week, but the Steelers have a strong running game and that is one of SEA's weaknesses. Steelers.
JACKSONVILLE (2-1) at KANSAS CITY (2-2) - The Chiefs are not a strong team but they are tough to beat at home. The Jags need more yardage from the WR that they do not seem to have. I see the Chiefs winning another one at home.
ATLANTA (1-3) at TENNESSEE (2-1) - I like QB Harrington but the Titans are coming off a BYE week and have a winner in QB Vince Young. TITANS.
SAN DIEGO (1-3) at DENVER (2-2) - The Chargers were supposed to be a top team this season but now they seem to be just crybabies. They had it going last week at home but did not run in the 2nd half and let the Chiefs take one away. The Broncos usually beat SD in DEN. If Tomlinson gets the ball in this one, I see the Chargers with a rare victory in Denver. CHARGERS.
BALTIMORE (2-2) at SAN FRANCISCO (2-2) - I wish I could say NINERS in this one as the Ravens are showing their age and playing injured to boot with CB Samari Rolle and DE Trevor Pryce out again, but SF looked HORRENDOUS last week and even if QB Dilfer brings some inspiration to his teammates, I see the Ravens winning this one. RAVENS.
DETROIT (3-1) at WASHINGTON (2-1) - With the Lions winning three of their first four for the first time for most folks children to see, one MIGHT think they would be the favorite in this one. The Redskins (I HATE THE REDSKINS) are coming off a BYE week, are at home, and have a good running game to go along with the opportunity to pass against a weak pass defense. REDSKINS.
ARIZONA (2-2) at SAINT LOUIS (0-4) - The Cardinals have been a bit of a surprise and the Rams have sucked. No other way to say it. QB Bulger is out for St L. Although St L NEEDS a win badly and are at home, I see ARIZ winning another one with their 2-QB system. CARDINALS.
NEW YORK JETS (1-3) at NEW YORK GIANTS (2-2) - I can see Lawrence salivating at this matchup for his Giants! The Jets have weak pass D and Manning may decimate them. The Jets lost to the lowly Bills last week. GIANTS.
MIAMI (0-4) at HOUSTON (2-2) - The Dolphins seem to FIND ways to lose and will again in this one. Schaub should have a great day passing. TEXANS.
CAROLINA (2-2) at NEW ORLEANS (0-3) - Okay the Saints are coming off a BYE week and are at home - same advantages that WASH has this week AND the Panthers are missing their QB, Delhomme. But the Saints now are missing McAllister at RB and have shown NO offensive consistency. Rooting for the Saints but see the Panthers winning this one with David Carr at QB. PANTHERS.
BYE TEAMS THIS WEEK: OAK ( they need it ) - MIN - PHIL - CIN.
GO NINERS!
GO SAINTS!
GO FALCONS!
(They will all lose this week.)

Mike Firesmith
Three teams have lost their starting QB; The Panthers, The Rams, and the 49-ers.
The Niners face the Ravens in San Fran, but they looked bad last week without their starter.
Ravens win.
The Panthers are just plain lost without Jake. The Saints need this game worse than anyone else out there needs a win. Saints win
The Rams are plenty bad no matter whose throwing, or not. The Cardinals are acting like a football team as of late. Cardinals win.
I'd call the next set Easy Pickins. Last week two of the easy ones bite me on my ass. I'm a slow learner. The Easy Pinkins.
The winless Dolphin play a much better Texans team. In Texas. Texans win.
The Browns could play the Patriots anywhere, anytime, and the outcome is just as assured.
Patriots win.
The Cowboys play the Bills in Buffalo. No snow is in the forecast, no wins for the Bills either.
Cowboys win.
Tampa Bay is playing at Indy. The Bucs are insane, the Colts won the Super Bowl. Colts win .
The next set is Those Games Where The Any Given Sunday Rule Might Kick In. But I doubt it.
The Foul-cons played a good game last week. The Titans are simply the better team here. Titans win.
The Jaguars always play KC tough, but KC is looking better as the season progresses. KC wins
But can I pick them when it really counts? Four games pit eight teams against each other in what will define each of those teams seasons. It's football the way that it is suppose to be. If you can't win these games you're not going anywhere. Accordingly, if you can't go three for four with these....take a seat.
The Suddenly Resurgent Seahawks face a Steelers team who lost to Arizona. The Steelers got stung while the Seahawks won big. Oh, and they're playing in the Steel City. Steelers win.
The Are They For Real Lions go into Washington to play the Are They For Real Redskins. One of these teams is not. Hell, maybe both, but someone has to walk out of this one ahead. Surprisingly, I'll take the skins. Redskins win.
The What The Hell Happened Chargers go into Denver and play the Broncos who played one quarter of good ball against the Colts last Sunday. Norv Turner couldn't coach his way out of a bathroom stall with an aging Republican in it. Broncos win.
The What The Hell Happen Bears go to Green Bay and face Walk On Water Brett Farves. The place will be Packed, and so will the Bears. Packers win.
Sooner or later there has to be one of t eh games that everyone is shocked by. The Bucs beating the Colts would be that game, but I don't see it. But that's the beauty of The Shocker; no one sees it coming. It may come this week, or next week, but sooner or later The Shocker will rise up and smite a much, much, better team.
We'll see.
Take Care,
Mike
(****Nalita's note: According to Firesmith; " Giants lose by 4 touchdowns". Congratulations to the New York Jets. For details on this, you should visit Mike Firesmiths Week 5 NFL Picks article.)

NJ Jets over NY Giants in an upset
Packers over my beloved Bears
Anyways, this will be a good week.
This is going to be an exciting week, with some surprising upsets -- you just watch and see. I don't think, and I would bet anything ESPN would prefer to have that Green Bay/Chicago game for Monday night or the Tampa Bay/Colts game, instead of the dull and boring Dallas/Buffalo game, don't you?
Looks nice - who's the cute kid on the far column? No name?
GO NINERS! I did not pick them but I'll root for them.
GO SAINTS! ditto.
RAIDERS will NOT LOSE on SUN!!! This is the gospel truth!!
The Lions may win Ty, you are right, but they have not proven they can stop the run NOR the pass and WASH is not too shabby at either. WASH will have the tools to slow down the Lions' passing game and if that turns out to be true, it will not be pretty for the large tabbies.
I also HATE the REDSKINS! as does Mike F - a good guy obviously.
Sorry about making fun of your handle, Ty.
As far as incorporating images and such, I've asked Jeff, and he won't lend a hand, the confederate, but that's okay.
Tom, whatever help I can give, let me know. I will do anything for you.
In fact, it gives me an excuse to email you. . .again! ;=)
I would not hate the skins so much if they had a different owner, who robs the fans and trys to by a team. No wonder they suck; the owner wont let the coaches build a good team.
I would have to agree with you, Nalita. The Bears/Packers game would have been better for Monday night. It will be a much better and much more interesting game than the cowboys game (How I do hate them). But I will live. Either way, this will be a great week.
Chargers at the moment are kicking but but I have a feeling the Broncos will get things going soon.. we hope anyways ;)
Ty: Surprise! Surprise! Surprise! That is one of the fun things about football -- yes! Full of surprises!
By the way, Guys -- What about the Baby up there? He is doing quite well at his forecasting games. No "Happy Birthday, Brycen for him?
today!!! looong story, but those SORRY little....(best left unsaid, lol)
I am posting a picture of Brycen my son I will send the link here.. He just turned 3 and has his football gear on. He had an NFL party and it was fun!

I do feel as special sense of sadness for Green Bay since this ends that winning streak, bringing it down to three teams that are 5-0, well two, since Dallas has yet to play, and they are:
Indianapolis
New England
What shall happen with Dallas?
Shall they make invincible #3
Tomorrow we shall see!
This particular situation was one Cole could not handle by himself. On Brycen's signal, Cole threw his weight against the door. In a shot Cole was through the door, Brycen right behind him. All of a sudden the room came alive with excitement. A banner over a large cake proclaimed "Happy Birthday."
Cole turned around and started laughing. He reached down and shook Brycen's hand.
"Happy Birthday, Brycen," he said, trying to stop from laughing.
But, true to my philosophy about scoring, I am not one to dance in the end zone and go and make rude gestures on the goal posts (like those TO types) I merely set the ball down and run back to the bench - showing the world that this scoring is nothing new to me, I'm experienced at it.
WAY TO GO BRYCEN!!
hand shakes and ~ hugs for Yah~...
Go BRYCEN
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE MAN!
GO COLTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Live long and prosper.
Just thought I'd get that in while I could.
Unfortunately they came back and won just like Da Bears -
the cream rises to the top in the NFL often too!!!!
Not very nice. My guy was here sweating bullets last night over the Dallas game. Usually I am the one everyone needs to calm down. Last night I had to force myself to be cool to keep him cool. lol. He was even biting his nails. Even at the last 5 minutes in the 4th when he kept saying, "It's over, it's over!" I continued to reassure him that it wasn't and as we all see, Dallas won.
Now, as far as next week with New England? Hah. If I were to bet? My money would be on NE, based on what I saw last night. Dallas is NOT an NFC champ team
Tom: Question. Why are the Cowboys "easy to HATE"? I know my friend has certainly taken a lot of heat over them throughout the years. In his family each one of them likes a different team, but no one gets the kind of heat for their team the way he does for being a Cowboy fan. lol. I mean he REALLY catches it!

REMEMBER THIS!
Long after this season is over
Brycen will have a book of memories that shall include you FOREVER!
Thank you.
Brycen, I hope your memories will include "Yah"! :=)
Also next week, its the Packers and the Redskins. I know that the Packers are a better team than what they were on Sunday against the Bears. But that too will be an interesting game, since it will really prove which team is is for real and which is going nowhere.
