Random thoughts about today's class

Today we studied Iran.

Much more complex than what is generally presented in the US media.

Part of the class is like a travel log. The facilitator has visited all of these countries, she was in Iran four years ago, and we get to see her pictures.

Since I obsessed on my Islam class two years ago, I probably know more going in than 3/4 of the class.

It is nice not to feel like the village idiot.

That is always a good feeling. Too many times I have sat in the classroom nearly in tears, feeling lost.
