JR Ward is the best and her Black Dagger Brotherhood series is taking the paranormal romance genre by storm. Her fifth book in the series, Lover Unbound was recently released September 25, and her fans are increasing in number.

I'm a great fan of her work. Her stories are a bit unconventional, the dialogues are snappy and funny, and the brothers, Vampire warriors defending their species from extinction, are completely gorgeous, leather-wearing, rap-loving, bad-a***es, that will capture your heart and imagination once you start reading about it.

I highly recommend the BDB series. The titles in correct order are Dark Lover, Lover Eternal, Lover Awakened, Lover Revealed and Lover Unbound.

Personally I don't consider Charlaine Harris sci fi. To me,she's more paranormal msytery with hints of romance. I love her books.... :) Michelle Bardsley writes paranormal romance. I read her first paranormal romance and it was ok, I've had her second one for a while but haven't ready it yet. I've read a few of Sherrilyn Kenyon and they're ok too. Kathy love has at least 3 vampire romances out.
