I came home last year, after working with the homeless for the past ten years. I just could not do it anymore. So, I came home and wrote a novel that I had been wanting to write for years. That is the good news.
But, an artist has to have an income right? Well, I have had several interviews, and when people find out that I worked with the homeless, I am cut. Now, I am wondering...is this when you just go borrow money and hire a career coach? What does a career coach do anyway? How do they assist?
Of course, like so many of you, I have my fingers crossed about the writing career. But, when writing today is like owning your own business---that can be so frustrating, and frightening as well.
So, I just want to know if anyone out there knows anything about career coaching. Please share with me. Thank you in advance. :)

A Scandalous Overture
Faith, I have been almost eating up every book out there about writing fiction. I have read these books so fast, my eyes get tired. I did write one novel, but it is controversial, and I think people are a little taken "aback" by it. I am working on my second novel right now-very slowly. I am trying to make it more "commercial."
I had an interview last week, and it looks like I may have landed myself another job. It is not what I want to do with my life, but I have to have income flowing in while I work on the writing. Thank you for asking. Did you find yourself in a similar situation?
I am still thinking about obtaining a career coach. Definitely! It has been a rough few years, but I did get my book written. I am so thankful for that, and now it is time to pay the piper sort of speak. I am in credit card debt hell, but I have a plan. :).
