Since my husband can swim and I can't, I think it would be him having to make this decision. I hope he saves our kid. Mom and I will have to drown together.
For me my mate would be a great swimmer, My mom would be saved because she is the only mom I've got or will ever have. The baby would have to be sacrificed because we could always procreate and have more and if not there are plenty of children out there who need to be fed, cared for, adopted, etc.
Esther this is actually an arabic riddle and your answer is actually the one MOST arabic men choose. They say that you can always get another wife and baby but you can never replace your mother. I say baby because of my maturnal instincts, but it is just me.
I don't have any of the others, so my gut instinct tells me MOM : ) But if I had a baby, it would be the logical first choice, baby can't fend for herself.

Next- I don't know. My mother can fend for herself. If hubby could help, he could save one, while I save the other, thus eliminating the need to pick.
