Taking a sanity break

20th century poetry starts in 10 minutes.

I am not there.

I may go for the second half... but right now, I have decided, I need to take a break.

And besides that, I am not willing to risk fainting in class - and I seem to be in fall down go boom mode right at the moment.

*sigh*

I am obviously not capable of weeks like this - need to have a look at the courses I'm supposed to teach and see what I can give away :(

I'm teaching tonight....and 10 hours tomorrow ....and in between my tomorrow classes I have an appointment to go over a proposal I have not (re)written yet....

I'm thinking my next stress reduction move is going to be to email and try to postpone that to Friday

He was "play Fighting" on with another boy and the other boy used his hands and WEll, Zach had a pen in his, the other kid ended up with a big scratch on his face! m*sigh*

I did email Jane... maybe I can postpone meeting till Friday ... IF she is ok with that, can go home and go to sleep after my class tonight.... if not I will have to stay up and try to rewrite proposal

Oh, Flit, I hate to hear this. You know, you've been battling the bronchitis as well as a really tough schedule. Everything is difficult when you are sick. And the drive you have to make alone is just so time-consuming. I'm going to start my wishing routine for you. Every night I go to bed I think of the person and just wish for good things. I leave it at that. Just wish for good things. The good things are not what I try to decide. I just ask God to provide good in that person's life. I imagine a smile on that person's face, and imagine happiness and comfort. I hope it will make you feel better. The only thing I can say for sure is that it makes me feel better to wish for people and myself, whether anyone else needs it or not. I'm rooting for you, Flit. Do what you gotta do to take care of yourself. I'll lay off the smart a-- remarks until you feel better. I care about you, Flit. You have made my days so much more fun since I have known you that I can't even begin to repay you. And, I've learned some things because of you. You have been a wonderful experience for me. Now, I'm wishing.......and wishing,.......and wishing for you.

Jane emailed me back that Friday is actually better for her...so that frees up some time tomorrow to do the prep for class tomorrow night and to try to do a new rough draft of the proposal. MIGHT be able to breathe

Flit, I hope the doctor can tell you something about the fainting thing on the ninth, that seems a long time since you have had those tests done. I hope the news is good and maybe you just need some medication to take care of things, but I think you are doing a very heavy schedule too, and that can cause a lot of stress, especially if you are not resting well in between, and it doesn't look you have a lot of time to rest in. Take care of yourself Flit. Maybe you can schedule a nap here and there, they say those half hour power naps do wonders, I need to look into them myself, Good night , I hope you are in bed by now, and not up this late like me, but I have no where to go tomorrow. Pleasant dreams.

Hope you're feeling a little bit better. When we push ourselves too hard, (speaking from experience) our body has no problem at all telling us. Stress combined with being ill and then add to it, a heavy schedule and it could be it's just too much. Get some rest whenever you can - Marilyn and I are thinking of you. - Mark

I often take a break from sanity myself. It is fun to escape normalcy for awhile isn't it? I come back so much more refreshed!
