Fundraising Event For Cancer Research

I have a friend who is going to be participating in an event to raise money for cancer research. It is at the Sears Tower in Chicago on Sunday, November 11th. It involves running up the stairs. This man is 63 years old. He just lost his girlfriend last Thursday to cancer. Any donations made go to the research, not to him. He is paying to do this out of his own pocket, and it's not cheap. He doesn't have a lot of money either, so it is a sacrifice for him. To enter the event alone costs $75. Then he has to travel to Chicago, which for him is about a 4 hour drive one way. Then he has to pay for a hotel overnight, unless he wants to drive it all in one day. So any help with the fundraising part would be much appreciated. If you're interested in helping him, go here:

At the top, put your cursor on EVENTS, then go down in the drop down menu and click on GO VERTICAL CHICAGO 2007. Then on the left side of the page in the gray box, click on SEARCH CHICAGO PARTICIPANTS. On the next page, type in John C. Anderson. It will take you to his profile page, where he can be a bit embellished about himself, but he has a heart of gold. There is an area on the right side of his profile page where you can make a donation. If you have problems with a timeout on the search using his name, just keep trying.
