Tomorrow, I will be 26 years old. A little bit older, a little bit wiser. I don't believe those two things necessarily go together, but I know that I have pursued truth this year. I have sought to know the Word more, and have become wiser because of it.
I don't really have anything planned for the day. I am going to a Discipleship dinner, of which I am very excited. Not sure if my wife has anything planned. My mom sent me a text the other day and just asked if I wanted cash or a gift card. I found that funny because she has just given up on getting me gifts. Kinda sad though, too. Growing up, she would get me something practical like Care Bears Baby bedding or cool Mickey Mouse bedding, Donald was my favorite character on my sheets. I just think she's more comfortable buying for kids, like getting her grandkids Disney Cars Apparel than buying a 26 year old male...whatever.
It's all good. Life is good. I'm looking forward to becoming a dad. In the next year, I want to work at loving my wife better, and I want to have a child. What a Birthday gift that would be.
