I read an article in the Orlando-Sentinel that the state of Florida is trying to tougher on restaurant inspections. As I read the article these two sentences jumped out at me. I am quoting it from the Sentinel below:
"On Sept. 9, the Orlando Sentinel revealed that investigators found three of five restaurants inspected in Central Florida had at least 10 or more critical violations from July 1, 2006, to Sept. 2, 2007. Only 4 percent of restaurants inspected, or 303 eateries, had no critical violations those considered the most serious because of the threat to public health and safety."

I used the link provided (which is below) and chose Lake Buena Vista -home of Walt Disney World. The list of failed restaurants is very eye-opening, to say the least! I have eaten at some of those restaurants. Knowing we have issues here in South Florida I do not know why I am so suprised that Disney on-site restaurants are on this report.

Not to be outdone sister paper Sun-Sentinel has a similar article:

Southeast Florida -Broward, Martin, Palm Beach, Miami-Dade and Monroe- only inspection reports:

After reading this, I really have my doubts about restaurants. Does your state post inspection reports on-line?
