The Sixth Degree - Sinners and Saints cd review

SINNERS AND SAVIORS is the debut release from rockers The Sixth Degree.  12 rock songs with a modern edge are the ingredients that make up the recipe for success.  The cd was mastered by Kings X guitarist Ty Tabor and the end result is a great sounding release.  A few of the standout tracks are "Falls Apart" and "Waiting".  "Falls Apart" kicks off SINNERS AND SAVIORS and is a modern edge rocker that is rounded out by vocals that make this song memorable and destined to be a hit.  "Waiting" has a nice punch to it during the verses - similiar to the delivery of the verses in Green Day's "American Idiot" where you hear the bass drum kicking as the backdrop to the vocals and then the slashing sounds of the guitar and bass kick in.  "Hard Goodbye" musically is a buzzing and grinding song that churns and burns into your mind like a Black Sabbath song except this song sounds tuned higher than a Black Sabbath song.  The uptempo "Destroying Yesterday" has a great vocal delivery and reminds me of a Ric Ocasek from The Cars rocking out.  The rhythms on all the songs, whether they are slow or fast, will have you bobbing your head and tapping your feet to the music.  The rockers on the disc will get the blood pumping and the fists in the air.  For more info on the Sixth Degree check out www.musicfromthesixthdegree.com and www.myspace.com/TheSixthDegree
