Enough to break your heart.

This morning I took the new kitten to be spayed.

She showed up here one day, hungry, lonely, sad...

and I, often a sucker for strays, took her in.

 

This morning I put her in the truck,

after she'd spent a night in the work shed,

backed out of the yard, drove away.

 

She is an intelligent and expressive little animal,

and as we left she started to show signs of distress.

I am guessing but I think that she was 'dumped'.

 

Somebody without a heart 'kicked her to the curb',

In a 'country' area with no curbs and she was scared

It was happening again...

She is beautiful!! What a lucky kitty. I have 9, they all arrived about the same way. They were dumped. Our luck there lloyd, we have the furry friends now!

Thank you for helping this baby. My past three cats have been adopted off the streets. I had to find my most recent one a new home when I relocated to a nearby city and pets weren't allowed in the building where I got an apartment. I found him a new home where he'd be loved and cared for before I left. No way would I turn him back out onto the streets after providing him a home for 2 1/2 years. i don't see why people do this to poor animals. I think it should be done to them to see how they like it...and maybe they'd think twice about abandoning an animal that relies on us for love and protection. It's incidents like this that make me like animals over people.

Wonderful of you to give her a home. So is she still at the vet or is she recouping at home now?
she home slinking around now... still stoned out of her mind.. there is a local vet that does female cats for $40 so I could afford this for her... only way i could keep her too,... slightly allergic to nasty catboxes and she was getting pretty musky.

Our previous place was quite the 'dumping' ground, most especially after Spring when all those "Pet gifts" got bigger, ate more, cost more than someone expected. Amazingly, there was one 'dumping' that brought 4 rabbits in cages, just left them in our driveway...

I guess the idiots from town know those of us in the country consider it our duty to be stewards of the animals. Thanks for doing this. If you brought this kitten home, lucky you. If you left it with the vet, thank you for that.

She was a smart kitty to know who has a heart like yours. I have the problem of being "suckered" into taking in a puppy myself, I didn't know it was going to grow up to be a small horse! LOL

poor little one i get that alot around my house it sucks but there is nothing that i can do about it other then feed them hope the little ones does well with you

Therese P, I find your comment about town people down right vulgar and uncalled for. I guess us "idiots" from town should simply close down all the no kill shelters and stop our adoption efforts. There are people all over who do not understand or care that animals should be cared for once they pass that new and "cute" stage. Too many people look at potential pets as a new toy or item without regard for their being.

she's home fine, and up and around being 'kittenish'....

thanks folks.. she was SO scared. first animal I've ever seen GLAD to get to the vets!

Beautiful cat, I love the colors and the markings she has. Our house to is a drop off point for unwanted cats. We have 5, two of them on posted in my images. Charlie Chew has a 20 inch waist. My silly son told a friend that he was a dog and she believed him to an extent. He is a very big cat. You'll enjoy having the kitten around. Pets have a way about them that they nestle in your heart and stay there. Hope all is going well for you today.

Beautiful cat. We have two shelter cats......

It is a pretty cat, all our cats are spayed or neutard. We have 10 of them.. One we call mama cat, was a stray more or less, my daughter's boyfriend left her here when he left and she was with kittens, when she had them my wife ended up keeping them..
when I lived on the water as a kid Larry we had a 'mamma' cat.. ugliest cat I ever saw... whole family (all three of us) cried like children when she finally ate her last Sailors Choice.

I love the name and she is a beautiful kitty.
There are very few that aren't.
