Except for that shiny pot of gold...
Seriously, I'll be better in a couple weeks- promise :)
"You're no child, Tera." Jean-Paul tucked his clipboard under his feathered wing. "This isn't as easy as it seems."
Tera rolled her shoulders and worked the kinks out of her neck. She linked her hands behind her and lifted them, stretching the taut muscles. Finally, she was getting out of that desk job.
"Trust me, Jean-Paul, I'd take a sea monster over having to answer to Eros. Did you know he put in a time clock yesterday? A time clock of all things! As if time has any meaning up here."
She tapped the envelope Jean-Paul had handed her. "I got it covered. Duncan McGinnis. He'll never know what hit him."
As Tera sailed into the stratosphere, Jean-Paul smiled at his favorite intern's departing aura where it streaked through the clouds. "Neither will you, Tera. Neither will…you."
-Judi First Chapters, In Over Her Head
"The alien beam was so beautiful, until it hit the earth."
Awesome!
